To help us keep the ground safe and beautiful for all our guests, we also ask that you prevent your dog from digging, as this can create tripping hazards. We know some pups just love to dig! If your dog does make a hole, we kindly ask that you use the provided shovel to fill it in and return the area to its original condition before you leave. Rainy Day Amenities: On rainy days, our rinsing station is available to help clean up muddy paws before heading home. We also ask that you please leave any dirty tennis balls in the blue tub with soapy water, located on the other side of the fence, to keep them fresh for the next guest. Two beautiful horses have moved in next door! While they are not always visible, you might hear a friendly “hee” every now and then. To ensure a harmonious environment for everyone, we kindly request that you maintain a distance of at least 5 feet from our neighbor’s fence at the top of the property. "This field is huge! My dogs had an amazing time running around and exploring 😍 There is shade under the trees, and the part that wasn't fenced in wasn't an issue for us. If your dogs don't have solid recall, stick to the fenced side. The whole place is so big, you shouldn't have a problem getting a good amount of walking/running in, without coming too close to the un-fenced side. I walked around for about 2 miles, and I'm guessing my dogs probably did twice that 😆 The host was nice and allowed extra time, because I took a wrong turn coming there and was late to my booked time. We will definitely be back."

A few “heads up” about our spot: - the path to get to backyard is a bit steep. 👟Perhaps plan to wear appropriate footwear🙃 -like most places in San Diego there’s a possibility of snakes and we did have a recent sighting, so please use caution - the fencing on bottom right of yard is a different material, but still secure without any ways for pups to get out, but it can at times shift with weather and may be more possibilities for a pup to go under (I try and check often)🌿 - on the bottom left of the yard their are fire stick succulents🌱 on my neighbors property-the sap of these plants are toxic, so best to stay away! -lastly, if you are planning to come on a weekend morning- our neighbors typically play pickle ball at this time which can be a bit noisy and a distraction to some pups- they’re usually done by 11am. This private yard is a flat, quiet, accessible, fully fenced space for your dog to run and play. There are no other dogs on this property. Note that in the winter and spring, the lawn is mostly green (weeds). In the summer and fall, it’s mostly dirt, hence the variety of landscape photos. I don’t grow anything of my own on the lawn or spray any pesticides, so that’s how the land naturally grows and changes based on the season. The Rancho Bernardo Dog Park in San Diego, California is a fully-fenced enclosure for off-leash play. Owners must leash and clean up after their dogs, monitor their behavior, and have current licenses. Only three dogs per family are allowed. Aggressive dogs and those in heat are not permitted, and puppies under 4 months old are not recommended. Owners must have a leash on hand, and children must be supervised. No food, smoking, or specific items are allowed in the park. Small dogs are welcome, and amenities include chairs, tables, and an indoor restroom.
