55I loved this location! My fiancé and I drove 1 hour and 40 minutes with our dogs to this location. We were not disappointed. We got there early, as we drove far and arrived earlier than planned. The owner of the spot was very kind in allowing us to start our journey early.
We guided our dogs in trying to learn how to swim at their beach. The walk was extremely peaceful and the fields were pretty and fun to explore. The path was very clearly set out for you, and it was a clean space for our two dogs. We saw beautiful wildlife, and I brought my camera to capture the fun (along with pretty butterflies). It was definitely hot today (87 degrees) there were many areas that were in the shade and the water at the beach kept all of us cool. I will say, in the wood areas, it got buggy, with many ground bees hitching a ride on my dog’s head. No stinging occurred! But I would pack bug spray to avoid it next time so we could explore the fields and woods more. No problem! Mother Nature can do what she wants lol. Overall, we had a wonderful time, and we were wicked close to Kelly’s Snack Shack, so we got everyone some snacks after a long day of fun! Kyra L.
