Top Public & Private Dog Parks in Dana Point, CA

If you’re looking for a sniff spot in the San Clemente/San Juan area this is the place for you! The clean & spacious backyard was fully fenced and had a separate playpen for smaller pups! My recently rescued pup is very nervous around pedestrians & cars so this was a safe quiet place to let him stretch his legs!

This was absolutely an awesome First experience with SniffSpot. The area was pretty, the walls were high and safe, lots of space for my pupper to sniff around, chairs and an umbrella for me to relax in the shade while my dog sniffed. She was so tired by the end of her time there. It made me so happy to see her enjoy her time so much. And the host is welcoming and responsive to messages. I’ll definitely be back to visit with Lumi!

Beautifully maintained backyard. We felt very secure with our little dog. Very easy to find and owner friendly and responds quickly. Definitely would recommend and will be back.

Debbie’s yard is so lovely and clean! Our two senior boys loved sniffing every inch of it, and exploring the perimeter shrubbery. Once they’d had their fill of exploring they laid down in the shade and enjoyed the Dana Point breezes while we sat in the comfortable patio set.  We appreciated the bowl with fresh water, the basket of toys and poop bags, and the well labeled trashcan. The yard was totally secure, making for relaxed parents. We look forward to coming back, and next time hope to bring along another family member’s dog to inspire some play with our older boys.

This is the loveliest backyard! It was clean and lots of grassy turf area for the dogs to play fetch and run around. They loved exploring the backyard and I loved relaxing in the hammock. Debbie and her husband are also the sweetest and left fresh-picked kumquats on the table for me to enjoy. :) She also provided fresh water for the dogs which they greatly appreciated. The house is along Golden Lantern St so theres background noise of cars and people so I can see how more alert or reactive dogs may not do well with that. But my dogs had the time of their lives, they definitely cant wait to go back!

We so enjoyed this Sniffspot. The host was so friendly, the yard is lovely! Our pup had a blast playing here; we can’t wait to come back.

This was our first Sniffspot and we had a great time! The yard is clean, well-maintained, and the host is very thoughtful. Really nice patio furniture to relax on, and there are extra toys provided. The space isn't huge but more than enough for my dog to play with the flirt pole and work on his training. Totally worth it - Leo was a happy, tired pup after our 1 hour session!

We have taken our doggo to this spot several times now, and it is always clean and well maintained. It is a great place for my girl, it’s not terribly large, but certainly big enough for her to zoom and for us to use her flirt pole. This is now my regular place.

We enjoyed this spot very much! It’s not too big, but big enough to let our girl run back and forth. She had a great time sniffing everything, I just had to keep reminding her to stay out of the front planter! It’s fenced off, but she was determined. Other than that, no issues. It backs to a busy street, but the walls are certainly high enough, and the noise wasn’t an issue. There is a lovely table with an umbrella and chairs, and a couple of benches as well. We will certainly use this spot again!

Our two large working breed dogs had an absolute blast!! Great sniffspot!! Very clean and well fenced which makes for a more relaxed dog mom.

Excellent experience all-around! Debbie really caters to her visitors and provides an opportunity that I am so grateful for. Beautiful and comfortable space, large enough for my older puppy to explore, play fetch and tug-of-war, and a perfectly shaded seating area. Thank you so much Debbie!

Place is exactly as expected and as pictured. Fencing is very private and our dogs really enjoyed their free play time with little distractions. Water and trash provided - very convenient!

Very clean and host is incredibly thoughtful. We went on a hot day and she was kind enough to put up an extra umbrella for us. This was my dog’s first off leash outside time and to say it was magical for her is an understatement. She loved exploring the entire area and had the best zoomies of her entire life. One thing to be mindful of is that the borders are bedded with mulch and the soil is soft, aka “snack size sticks” on top of easy to dig dirt. For dogs with good recall this shouldn’t be an issue but my 4 month old puppy couldn’t handle the temptation. Keeping her out of the bushes/away from the mulch became a game, but that’s on me and my lovely girl. This space is gorgeous and very comfortable for pets and their peoples. Communication with the host was easy and there was ample street parking. Sign for her entrance is clearly marked and secure. We left a toy there and the host did everything in her power to return it to us. Thank you for such a wonderful time!

My dog had a nice time, plenty of room for zoomies and fetch. Directions, parking, and the gate were easy to figure out. Thank you Debbie for allowing us to use your yard, we will be back. :)

Wonderful yard with an area for humans to sit, doggo to run & explore foliage and a wee side-hill. There's a box of toys and balls, trash can for messes (extra bags in case you forgot), and a few water bowls (in multiple varieties if your pup has a preference between metal or plastic). It was wonderful and we had a great time! It was also very clean.

This was my pup’s first Sniffspot and although I was nervous for our first time, she had a blast! Debbie had a lovely backyard with balls and bowls of water available. I’m so glad we chose Debbie’s place!

Debbie was a great communicator! Her yard was wonderful and everything matched to the photos and description. It was clear how to enter and most importantly the dogs enjoyed the space! They sniffed, ran, wrestled and roamed. We were also able to take lovely photos of our dogs there.
