Bark Park

Bark Park in Rome, New York is a fully-fenced dog park located at 500 W Chestnut St. The City of Rome has strict rules in place for the safety and enjoyment of all members. Only registered dogs and owners are allowed, with a maximum of 15 dogs at a time. Owners must clean up after their pets, keep them under control, and ensure they are healthy and parasite-free. No more than two dogs per person are allowed, and children under 12 are not permitted. Violators may be removed from the park or have their permit revoked. Buster's Barn & Field

Buster was a 16 year-old dog who passed away while running in his sleep on July 25, 2025. He enjoyed his field with family dogs his entire life. He was the last one as I am at an age now where I probably won't be getting another dog; so, I want others to enjoy the land. After the first freeze, I drain the interior pipes and hot water heater to the wash stall inside the barn, there is however a 12-month frost free outdoor fountain on the back side of the barn by the woods with a water trough and plenty of electric outlets. I mowed a trail around the perimeter that is about .4 miles for a walk / run around the inside of the perimeter of the five acre field (.2 miles if you cut through the middle to avoid the little hill on the side next to the houses on the road).
