55I read all the comments so I expected this to be great…but it was even better than I imagined!!! My two big dogs LOVED all the sniffing and room to run. There are lots of interesting things for the dogs to run around and explore—a big pile of large rocks, a porch, farm equipment, a wooden bridge, a fire pit, etc. My girls loved playing chase with each other; and the slower one especially appreciated spots to swerve in between and bushes to hide in! I love Donna’s dog park!!

We played with a lot of the toys, water was cold and the humans got their exercise in walking the yard with the pups. 55This spot is great! It is so perfect for my little reactive Jack Russell. You don't hear or see other dogs there which is what she needs. She has treats and toys for the pups, fresh water, a clean towel for any paws needing it, a cozy blanket and snacks for the humans. Privacy fencing is tall and escape-proof. My pup is reactive and Angela was the perfect mix of welcoming and friendly without being intrusive. She understood his behavior without judgment or showing fear. Communication before, during and after our visit was excellent, and a generous plus was the cup of hot coffee waiting on the table when we arrived. Are dog parks good for dogs?
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.
Are dog parks safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). How do I know if a dog park works for my dog?
