Top Public & Private Dog Parks in Waunakee, WI

Very easy to access and my dog loved it! It’s very open and the host provides a bin to dispose of waste, toys, and a cool rope toy in the tree that my dog loved! We’ll definitely be back.

Around 3pm, school gets out and the pathway next to the fence gets pretty active with kids, parents and some dogs. The neighbor dog gets let out at this time and all the kids run up to pet the neighbor dog. Some tried petting my dog, so if you have a reactive dog or one not fond of kids do not go at this time. For us, it was a great time to train during all the distractions. We will be back :-)

I was happy to find this Sniffspot in the neighborhood of a good friend of mine...so convenient for visiting. Beautiful clean big back yard. Minimal toys, but all we need is one ball. Bring your own water (again, it was winter when we visited). Walk along the bike path/pedestrian sidewalk that runs along the left side (as your face the house). You can't see the gate from the street, but once you walk down the path, it's easy; and I always appreciate when there's a Sniffspot sign so I know I'm in the right place. There was a sweet girl dog (I think) in the neighbor's fenced yard, across that bike path; she barked a lot and my boy was super distracted by her. THat works for me, because he's not reactive, just very interested. She got him to run around in circles. Super fun bungy ball hanging in a tree. The yard backs up to the local school, so I imagine at recess there could be a lot of kid-activity to watch. We'll come back again.

The place was clear and clean, Rocoto 🐶loved running around. And there’s a garbage can available to dispose 💩. We liked it a lot.

The sniff spot was easy to find and clearly marked with a sniff spot sign! My dog had a great time exploring and playing. The fence was secure and the spot was fully enclosed! We will be back!

This was a great spot for us! We stopped in Madison for a rest day in a cross country trip and this was a nice break for Ziggy. It was an easy drive from our hotel and Zigs loved spending an hour sniffing and watching kids have recess at the elementary school behind this SniffSpot. The spot was clean and lovely!

Pippin had a great time! The yard was large, secluded, and clean. There were no gaps in the fence, so I was comfortable knowing he couldn’t escape!

My dog loved it here and so did I! It's not gigantic, but plenty of room for ball and zoomies. There are several trees, so has sun and shade. For a first time sniffspot user I am very happy. I will go here again!

When we arrived the owner opened the garage door for us to enter the yard through. It was a nice, large space and my dog really enjoyed exploring the area! He also liked to see the resident dog through the window, and the neighbor dogs when they were let outside.

Lots of interesting places for the dogs to sniff around! The gate was a bit of a puzzle to open. Just so folks know, the grass is high at least today.

Great place! Lots of room to run Luna had such a great time. Easy to find and park. Highly recommend!

Our first visit at this spot was great! The host was excellent, the space was large, nice, and clean. There was space to explore and sniff around, as well as a good area for fetch!

Met Greg as we arrived - really kind hosts. Talked us through where to walk as the snow covered some of the natural paths there in the summer. Our girl loved the space to run, sniffing for critters in the snow banks and playing ball back by the fields! The road isn’t a concern once you’ve walked a bit. Recommend!

Perfect chunk of open field even in the winter. Host is super kind. Once you get up past the house the fear of being by a busy road diminishes.

A little bit of old field fencing helped corral our four overly excited doggos while we tried to teach them the perimeter we needed them to stay in. That was super helpful. They had a blast chasing each other through the open field in back of the house, and sniffing the terrrain around the mown pathways. This was a great adventure for our two too-reactive-for-typical-dog-parks pooches. They all got to cut loose, run, chase each other and explore. We will definitely book again soon. Use caution if your dog is a freedom runner or has no recall, due to no fence. Otherwise lots of space to run and wooded area to sniff in!
