After a brief walk around the perimeter of the yard to get my dogs used to the new area I felt safe enough letting my two escape artists explore/sniff off leash. There was seating and bug spray/sunscreen for us humans which is absolutely wonderful. The owner also had treats available & a hose+towel ready to use as well as a digging area. If my old pups weren’t so picky about food and lazy I’m sure they would have loved all the extra fun things lol. Holly was just over all very kind, welcoming and we didn’t see or hear her pets for the duration that we were in the yard. We did see one person walking and heard a dog barking off in the distance somewhere a few houses down but the listing warns of this so it’s to be expected and no big deal. The only other thing that happened was a neighbor letting their dog out to use the bathroom which again was also stated In the listing when we booked and is understandably out of everyone’s control and no fault of anyone’s. We didn’t realize the pool is small, and the steps and ledges drop off quickly into deep water. Neither did our big greyhound, who stepped onto the ledge and then fell into the pool and panicked.
