This is an amazing place to bring your dogs. Ours loved the freedom to run and the lake setting is beautiful for relaxing while the dogs play. We will definitely be back this has become our favorite Sniff Spot!

I’ve reviewed before but I will again, I love this Sniffspot. So much for the dogs to explore and water to play in. Make sure your dog has decent recall. The fence is down in some places and it’s just very vast for a dog who you can’t reliably get back to you. Love love love it!

Lots of different environments to explore! Water, trails, old structures…. It was a bit tricky for me to find, but Kevin was responsive and helpful when I reached out. My dogs had a wonderful time. Our favorite Sniffspot so far!

Really cool spot- didn’t find it hard to find like others mentioned. Lots of dirt roads to walk and explore, easy water access. My dog had a blast! Lots of rocks by the water so watch your pup’s paws if they aren’t used to the terrain - we got a few scratches but nothing bad. Also be aware that the lake itself it public so you will likely see other people around the shore but they didn’t get too close and my dog was having too much fun to care.

Easy to find, lots of space to walk and let dogs swim. Was great to get our line of retrievers out on big water for distance work. Only thing I will say is be careful of fishing line near shore and in the flooded timber.

I’ve been eyeing this sniff spot for months and finally got the chance to try it. 10/10 recommend - very much worth the trip from San Antonio. If you are considering it, just go ahead and book it! You won’t regret it. We only spent 1.5 hours there but easily could have spent 3 or more. Very easy to find, and so much space for my 3 dogs to run. My dogs didn’t want to leave. We already can’t wait to go back!

Another beautiful visit this year! I brought all 4 of my pups who had a blast swimming and exploring! The lake was quite busy today as it was a beautiful Saturday so take that into consideration when booking. They tend to make a lot of waves if you're getting in the water with your pup!

We had a great time at this spot, considering how hot of a day it was! I brought shade and a swimsuit though, so it was nice. Waylon thoroughly enjoyed the hike around the peninsula and swimming in the water. The only caution I can give is to be mindful of your dogs paws. The shoreline is pretty rough so it might be an issue with some dogs if they're not used to it. We had no problems with it though, and will very likely visit again.

Awesome place. Tons of room to run around. I would definitely bring some good shoes for both you and your dog though. Glad i read the reviews first bc they weren't kidding about the shells and sticks and rocks being rough on the shore. Glad I brought shoes because my pup was having an absolute blast and i didn't need to worry much about his feet with shoes on. Also - if your dog likes sticks... good luck. Mine LOVES sticks and was going absolutely crazy bc there were sticks and branches EVERYWHERE.

While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, inattentive owners, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks are much safer than a city or county park. With a Sniffspot off-leash area all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). In order to hike the trails, we require that all dogs have basic vaccinations or equivalent titers. We do not permit dogs with a bite history. We require that guests sign our waiver and agree to follow our safety rules.

Will there be other dogs at the Sniffspot hiking trail at the same time as me?

Sniffspot only allows one booking at a time and any host dogs are required to be kept away from the spot during visits. We also enforce 30 min time buffers between bookings.
