Top Public & Private Dog Parks in Canyon Lake, TX

Extremely cool location with lots of space to explore and the lake right by you in case your dogs need to cool off. I had a little bit of trouble finding the exact gate to go through. However, the owner very quickly responded and helped me get to where I needed to be. I will most definitely be going back.

Amazing place to come to. It was quiet and secluded. Idyllic at best. The dog had a blast and went exploring. We will definitely be back!! 10/10

Very beautiful place. Easy to find if you are familiar with the area. This is my new favorite place to take my pups. We are all happy, tired and ready to come back soon!

Loved it. Pups took off and took more than one call for recall but they were excited. Everyone got in the water. The gate was slight difficult but I’m a country girl so could easily figure it out

The owner gave easy directions to the gate entrance. Once in we had a lot of room to roam and explore. The dogs cooled off in the lake and loved sniffing around. Looking forward to booking again. We booked for 2 hours and wish we could stay longer.

The hiking trails are fun. The dogs had a great time swimming in the lake. The lake level was low so other people can drive or walk in on the exposed lake bed to get to the water. Just beware. But our dogs still had a blast! Highly recommend.

Great place! We took the dogs down to the water and they had a great time sniffing, splashing and running around. I came here with my young kids and it was such a relief to not worry about them and other dogs.

My babies and I had a great time. The water was cool. Access to the water wasn’t hard. It was very peaceful and not a lot of people. I would say wear shoes and don’t walk barefoot. And be careful of the zebra muscles. Overall great experience can’t wait to come again.

This place was great. Quiet, peaceful, water was clean, noone was around soo much space that it really feels secluded. This probably is the best listing on sniffspot and is a hidden gym. Not hard to find just read the instructions, plenty of parking before u go in and its about a 5 min walk into the waters

We had a blast here! The water level was of the lake was too low, so there was no swimming on the property this time. However we were able to follow a trail off the property to a public space for a quick dip without seeing anyone else. There are walking trails to the right of the property, and the lake access to the left. Both directions are fun with lots of things to sniff. Because the water level is low, the property markings can get confusing for other public lake guests, and some accidentally trespass into the private property. We ran into one dog on the trail, but I think they were just in the wrong place due to the low water level! Our host was readily available by phone to make sure we were in the right place, and even came down to show us around and explain the property when we got lost. We were able to stay away from all people and animals otherwise. We had a great time and spent 2 hours here exploring. We will definitely be back!

My dog had a great time exploring off leash without worry! There were people and dogs hanging along the shore within sight distance but far enough away that they weren’t an issue for us - there’s also quite a bit of rocky terrain in between so I didn’t have to worry with my reactive guy. Super beautiful scenery - worth the drive :)

This spot is so fun to explore with lots of diverse landscape and water surrounding almost all sides. Our dogs ran and ran with each other with no need to correct or get them out of trouble.

This was our second time visiting and I love it so much. They really have an awesome property and the host is always quick to respond.

Great spot off of the lake. A lot of room to explore and fun with your pups. It has plenty of roads/trails to go down. Definitely would recommend and I will be going back soon.

Love this spot! Yes I saw people but they were so off in the distance, it was easy to avoid. Lots for the dogs to sniff and explore. We will definitely be back!

Lots of room to explore and play. We did see a couple of other dogs from a distance. Rhea had a wonderful 3 year birthday! We will definitely be back.

Amazing spot next to the lake! Would recommend especially if your dog loves the water! Our dogs had a blast and immediately passed out for the car ride home

This was a great spot, once I found it thanks to the property caretaker. I'm not from this area and was a little confused with the directions. The Google map coordinates are 29.867427, -98.253698. I'd wear hiking boots if you want to explore the shoreline and road as it is pretty rocky. Eli and Jake had an amazing time and were not ready to leave when our time was up. We will be visiting this spot again.
