55Hosts were very friendly and welcoming. This sniff spot is walkable from my home so especially ideal for me and Ruby.
Rube enjoyed herself thoroughly; played fetch and just enjoyed freely sniffing and rolling in the green plush grass. Plenty of water and toys for her. A great sniff spot for our very first time using a sniff spot.Deborah M.

55This property is sprawling with mowed trails set on beautiful, picturesque land. You could definitely spend more time as there seems to be endless, but easy to navigate land with an abundance of natures best scents for sniffing. Thankful we live close enough to visit often. Danielle P.

55We had a wonderful time at Gail’s property. Our dog Pickle had had plenty of room to run around and there was a pond and creek for her to cool off. I highly recommend and we hope to be back soon!Patrick E.

55I took my older dog today. She loved it!!! It was a beautiful cool morning and we chose to walk the entire big route on the map provided. As first timers it was nice that the Host offered to meet us. we were provided information about the paths, stream and pond as well as where the water bowl was. I Thought about the short route but it was so nice and we were both loving the peaceful surroundings so just kept walking and enjoying the day. Halie was excited to see 3 bunnies and a woodchuck and spent her walk sniffing all along the way. She enjoyed a nice cool drink that was provided at the end of our walk. After she reluctantly got back in the truck, she slept the entire way home. It was great watching her enjoying her adventure in such a wonderful peaceful place. We will be back for sure!!!Kathy M.

55Always have a wonderful time at Gail's property. It's a blessing to live close.
My dog is the type who needs a job, and hiking with me allows him to let off energy in a place I feel safe to have him off leash as it's very private. Half way down the trail loop is a small stream with a deeper little "pool" the perfect size for a dog to take a dip.
Back towards the entrance is a deeper pond that's clean, and my dog loves finding the frogs jumping into the water between the reeds and wading In the shallow part.
The trails are well maintained, I use dog friendly bug spray to help with flies this time of year.
As always, we'll be back! Amber K.

55What an incredible place to let a dog be a dog! We loved walking around the fields — our dog had a blast zooming around and we enjoyed the picturesque scenery and birds! Our gps tracker said the loop we did around the outside was about 2 miles. Near the end of the loop, our dog was tired and ready to jump in the pond to cool off and chase bullfrogs. It felt quite secluded and safe from reactivity triggers because of the wire fence and vegetation/forest that created a natural border. The hosts were very kind and Ros came out to give us a map of the land. Can’t recommend highly enough!Seren V.

FAQ About Cayuga Dog Parks
Are dog parks good for dogs?
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.
Are dog parks safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog. 23% of reviews on Sniffspot visits in the Cayuga area are 5 stars.
