The Doggy Dome

We live on 15 acres, and now have 1.5 acres fully fenced! It is all very flat land making for an easy stroll with your dogs. We are boarded on two edges by farm fields and two edges by neighbors. There is a trail that circles the property, with plenty of space to explore. During the summer, please take advantage of the small kiddie pool. There are also toys and chairs in the fenced area for all guests. Some seasonal things to keep in mind: Spring/fall when we have heavy rain, some areas could have standing water and/or be muddy. Mid to late summer, there are fox tails (cheat grass) that can cling to your dogs. Winter, the trails might not be plowed. There will be a 5gal bucket in the wood shed (inside the fenced area) full of water you can use to refill the two water bowls. Keep an eye out for trip hazards! Logs, sticks, uneven ground and holes.

The 50 acres is mostly timber, with a 7 acre pond that has water in it most of the year. It will dry up on really hot years. I do have chickens and pack goats by the house. But they are inside mesh fencing, so your dogs won’t be able to get to them. The 50 acres is completely fenced with a 3 to 5 strand Barbwire fence. It’s in good shape. It is also the property boundary. So as long as you stay inside of the fence, you will be on the property. There are not a lot of neighbors but the ones I have are nice. When you come up the driveway, you can pass the house and drive up on the hill and Park at the conex container. There is lots of wildlife on the property, and I highly recommend that your dog has some sort of tick repellent, we do have ticks in the spring time. The upper part of the driveway is not graveled, so if there’s melting snow, or a lot of ran, it can get muddy. So be prepared for that. Truly amazing place!!! ♥️🐾 the hosts have gone above and beyond with all the little details throughout the spot!! They were so accommodating last minute with bringing kids and made special touches to make it such a wonderful experience!! Duke and Brady had the BEST time ever. This spot is beautiful and so fun! It’s a bit winding so be careful if you have a bad sense of direction. Watch out for holes if you go in the dark. Also a great spot for hide and seek if you bring a friend! My dog had so much fun sniffing me out! :)

Great place to walk with the dogs off leash on trails! Our dogs don’t like to retrieve so we’re always looking for places to take them where we can walk long distances and let them run and explore along the way. This hits the mark! It’s not just trails here, there is a large area where you can stop and hang out and let the dogs chase balls if that’s what yours like. We will definitely be back!

This was our first visit to this Spot and it's now one of our favorites. My dogs loved racing along the trails, romping in the creek, and finding good sniffs off trail. Great communication from the host, easy to find, and helpful trail markings. We will definitely be back.

This spot is a must! It gave a hiking vibe, with a spot to to sit and relax while your pup is exploring or playing catch. I really wished I brought food to eat there. They have a whole picnic set up.

Clean, great signage, so many amenities. Loved how they had extra signs on the trail saying “you’re almost to the horses” so we could leash just in case. Property line clearly marked with orange tape, very helpful. We didn’t venture out into the public land, but will book more time next time. We will definitely be back.

Absolutely wonderful spot! The signage was super helpful in pointing us in the right direction. Beau is 8 months so still working on off leash recall and this was a perfect spot to do it. Was a huge fan of Club Zoomies and definitely had fun in the water! Will definitely be booking more time for our next visit!

We had an amazing experience! Everything was very well marked and easy to follow. The trail was well maintained and our dogs loved the grassy area to run and play in. So much so that one of them came back with green on their head from rolling around so much! Can’t wait to come back.

It was our first time, place was easy to find, well marked, easy parking area. We also had our 2 year old so we (slowly) wandered the main trail and a bit of the equestrian trail. My dogs had a great time, swam in the pond near the field and explored. It was nice most of the place is shaded on a hot day! Quite a few mosquitoes because of the water, but the host graciously placed bug spray around the property! Also a nice touch to have towels for those who may have forgotten their own. We will be back for sure!

Everything about Black Pond Farm is so wonderful. It’s a peaceful oasis that we are so grateful to able to visit. The forested trails are clearly marked and beautifully maintained, there are two ponds that doggos can enjoy, and OMD Club Zoomies is such a perfect place for lunch, ball play and grass rolls. We can’t wait to come back for a visit!
