The 50 acres is mostly timber, with a 7 acre pond that has water in it most of the year. It will dry up on really hot years. I do have chickens and pack goats by the house. But they are inside mesh fencing, so your dogs won’t be able to get to them. The 50 acres is completely fenced with a 3 to 5 strand Barbwire fence. It’s in good shape. It is also the property boundary. So as long as you stay inside of the fence, you will be on the property. There are not a lot of neighbors but the ones I have are nice. When you come up the driveway, you can pass the house and drive up on the hill and Park at the conex container. There is lots of wildlife on the property, and I highly recommend that your dog has some sort of tick repellent, we do have ticks in the spring time. The upper part of the driveway is not graveled, so if there’s melting snow, or a lot of ran, it can get muddy. So be prepared for that. A great spot that has all the extras you could imagine! The signs made it very easy to navigate and we appreciated the bug spray! Suggest wearing boots and giving at least an hour for exploring!

Such a fun spot! We started by exploring the woods and visiting Club Zoomies. This spot is perfectly set up, with tables and chairs in key places so the humans can take a break too. We finished in the pond, and OH MY DOG—the pups had a blast running through the water. Our puppy even swam for the first time 😊. We’ll be back!

Difficult to find as our GPS system put us in the completely wrong spot. That said, it was very nice once we arrived! It was clean, we got to see some horses in the distance, and there was plenty of room for our dog to run and sniff to his heart’s content.

Absolutely lovely! My dog had so much fun frolicking and exploring. Saw some animal scat (wolf?) in the middle of one of the trails further back which spooked me but other than that a perfect visit. Hosts have many thoughtful touches.

Been here many times. The owners do an amazing job of taking care of the property and providing the best experience for all of us. This spot is especially great on hot days because the trail portion is completely wooded and stays nice and cool, which is really important for my dog who doesn't do great in the heat. I'll continue to visit Black Pond for as long as they continue to offer their property as a Sniffspot.

Well kept fairly flat trails lead to a clearing to play or relax “club zoomies”. Probably not a great spot for anyone with no verbal control over their dog, but the boundaries are clear and easy to follow. We loved it. Spot is well equipped with water, poo bags, and seating.

Our new favorite sniff spot!! Easy to find, plenty of parking, trails clearly marked, tons of room to roam, sniff, swim and run. Towels were helpful for preliminary wipe down but definitely a bath at home required. Bringing friends and going again in a few days. Outstanding place.
