Taylor pond is a 5 acre pond located in the heart of Poway. The amenities include a grass yard and yard in the back filled with wood chips and a eucalyptus grove as well of course as the pond. Keep in mind when you bring your dog we turn to work in the yard and also rent out a building in the back to Airbnb. So please make sure your dog is friendly with people.

"This field is huge! My dogs had an amazing time running around and exploring 😍 There is shade under the trees, and the part that wasn't fenced in wasn't an issue for us. If your dogs don't have solid recall, stick to the fenced side. The whole place is so big, you shouldn't have a problem getting a good amount of walking/running in, without coming too close to the un-fenced side. I walked around for about 2 miles, and I'm guessing my dogs probably did twice that 😆 The host was nice and allowed extra time, because I took a wrong turn coming there and was late to my booked time. We will definitely be back."

Great private walk around the pond! This was my first Sniffspot experience and am very pleased with the privacy and access to the spot. My dogs enjoyed a dip in the pond so be prepared to wash your dog if they go in. I believe there’s a hose available to do a quick wash down but I opted to take them for baths. Had a great time and will be back! Thanks to the host

This was the perfect place for us to build trust with our puppy being off leash. She did great and it’s all because the fencing made us feel safe she wouldn’t run off but it still felt like we were on a hike. Definitely visiting often!

We had a great time visiting Taylor Pond. Our two dogs ran freely in the entirely fenced property. The dogs were curious about the ducks in the pond and enjoyed going on the two docks. Looking forward to another visit in the future.

My hound is a regular here, we love the pond, and this week we wanted to bring her BFF for some play time. I let David know that the 2nd dog is a bit skittish around new people and thanks to the wonderful people who live and work here we had a stress free hour of crazy dog fun 🥰🥰 Pond is up from all the rain, It's the perfect place to let dogs be dogs

Tilly and I had such a great time! It's the perfect place to let loose; lots of room, no dangers (though she was a little surprised when she chased a duck and ended up swimming!). It was raining, and the trail on the left side was soggy, but we didn't care. I saw David and his dog, and he was quick to take the dog out of sight. I can't wait to come back (maybe in the sunshine)

This is a really pleasant sniffspot with nice shady places to sit, beautiful water birds, fish in the lake, and even water lilies! My dog went swimming and had a blast! This is a perfect place to go on a hot day to help your dog cool off.

Taylor’s Pond is awesome!! My dog had a blast swimming in the pond. The trail goes all the way around the pond which allows you to get your daily steps in too! Parking was super easy and it was very clean. Taylor’s pond is definitely an awesome spot and we will absolutely be back.

This place is amazing! There are loads of places to sniff, several different textures of walking path (gravel, dirt, grass, rocks), and not to mention the pond. This was our first time actually going off leash and I was concerned for a few reasons; however, I felt so much better once I got there and noticed that I could see the entire place (and in theory, her) wherever I stood. There are a few outbuildings, so she did manage to sneak away, but always waited for me to appear. David came out to talk for a few minutes and he was very friendly and welcoming. I loved the set up near the parking that had dog treats, toys, and water. Overall, this is definitely a top spot for both of us and I know we’ll be back again and again.

In order to hike the trails, we require that all dogs have basic vaccinations or equivalent titers. We do not permit dogs with a bite history. We require that guests sign our waiver and agree to follow our safety rules.

Will there be other dogs at the Sniffspot hiking trail at the same time as me?

Sniffspot only allows one booking at a time and any host dogs are required to be kept away from the spot during visits. We also enforce 30 min time buffers between bookings.
