22+ acre property with 20 acres that is fully/securely fenced. The front half is an open field & orchard, the back is forested and has maintained trails throughout. There's covered seating in the field & woods, portapotty, drinking water station, toys etc - see amenities for more details. There are seasonal streams, ponds in the woods this time of year, plus extra puddles & mud during/after moderate-heavy rain. Foot bridges and woodchips keep the main trails in decent shape for walking but there are plenty of muddy areas to explore so expect a wet, dirty dog - waterproof traction boots (muckboots etc) recommended. There's a dogwash station (elevated, tethers, sidewalls) for faster cleaning that's easy on the back and keeps clothing drier; bring your own towels. Reservations are available up to 30 days in advance. Some days fill fast but plans can change & bookings get modified/canceled (2+hrs beforehand) - check back for an opening if interested. Thank you for being considerate of our space by reading and abiding by SS and spot specific rules and asking all who accompany you to do the same. 22 forested acres with private trails and an open field area located in the power line clearing. Includes private land access to state forest trails with views. Once you park you will see the trail entrance into the forest in front of you. Take the trail down to the creek. Water levels in the creek vary depending on the time of year. Cross the creek using the foot bridge and head through the forest. In about .3 miles you will come out into the powering line clearing. Feel free to explore everything in front of you and to the left (north). There are several wide open grass spaces in the power line to play fetch or just let the dogs run and be dogs. I will send you detailed instructions for the hike up the mountain upon request. This is a real hike and I recommend hiking attire. Please bring water for yourself and your dogs. The hike is about 3.5 miles and 800 feet of elevation gain. I recommend booking at least 2 hours to complete. If you want to hang out and enjoy the views you may want to book more than 2 hours.

Very well kept yard with a lot of space to throw a ball and run around! Easy to find the location. We loved the box of toys/necessities, as we discovered that our poop bag holder had dropped somewhere on our way over and we were grateful to find some on site. We could see cars drive pass the property and some neighbors with a dog, but they were easy to avoid and keep at a distance. Would definitely visit this spot again.

My dog and I had a wonderful time at this SniffSpot! It was very clean and well maintained. I was a little worried about the partial fencing because my dog is still a puppy and working on solid recall, but after a few moments I felt completely comfortable letting her off-leash! Our dogs had an AMAZING time here. The lawn was cut which made for a hugeee area to play fetch which was awesome to really let them run. As described. Lovely place for a visit with plenty of room to run and to have fun frolicks around the pond. We had a very enjoyable time. So nice to have such a large area for my dog to be off-leash and to adventure without other dogs being dangerous or a nuisance. She’s older and can’t physically take having other dogs jump all over her. Thank you!

Very clean space, water and clean bowl provided, neat and tidy toys put away but accessible which was great bc if they are loose one of my pups will hyper focus on the ball instead of playing. We loved this place!!

If I could go higher than 5 stars, I would. This spot is beautiful! My 3 yr old pup had the zoomies the whole time, and my 12 yr old pup ran more than I've ever seen her run. Both dogs loved that they were running on lawn vs. field. And the pond has 360° easy access, so both pups easily refreshed many times. It was just lovely, all of it!

We really enjoyed taking our two dogs here. Lots of room to run and play. Has a place to sit if needed. A bin full of dog toys, balls and throw and catch. Even had hand sanitizer, wipes, water for you and the pups. We came in the cool of January. The pond was almost frozen over and the owners reminded of of safety precautions for the pups upon arrival which is always nice and sometimes forgetful when the excitement can be well, exciting! We would for sure recommend again and maybe think about next time getting some of the home made bread! Cheers!

Beautiful and peaceful location. We saw lots of birds out on the big pond, and even spotted an eagle perched high up in a tree! We also saw a few dog walkers passing by - we visited on a beautiful Sunday afternoon so I’m sure there would be fewer passersby on a weekday. My dog doesn’t have great recall, so I kept him on a 30 ft lead just to be extra cautious, though I’m sure most dogs wouldn’t need this precaution. All that said, we loved this spot and would definitely recommend!

We had a great visit today!!! First timers at this spot and we'll definitely come back. I liked the treats for humans as well as the doggos. Ellie had a great time playing fetch with the balls and we did some antler searches as well. 🐾🐾❤️❤️

Absolutely perfect little spot! Everyone was so nice and it was fun to take turns checking out the shop! There’s definitely some spots where dogs can get under the fence, my 30 pound pup was able to start wiggling under but as long as they can be redirected it’s totally fine! We plan to be back for sure!

Are dog fields safe?

If you are looking for an adventure, but also looking for safety, Sniffspot dog fields are a great option. You can even check the park amenities chart for amenities such as indoor training facilities, agility field, synthetic turf, exercise balls or field parking availability in advance. If inclement weather is an issue or poor field conditions, you can reschedule your visit up to 2 hours in advance.

What are the requirements to bring my dog to a Sniffspot dog field?

We require that all four-legged friends have basic vaccinations or equivalent titers. We do not allow dogs with a bite history. We require that guests sign our waiver and agree to follow our safety rules. Make sure to check host rules before visiting to ensure, for instance, that you are following allowable sports activities rules and any special events rules.

Will there be other dogs at the Sniffspot field at the same time as me?

No. Facility rentals are for private play time and any host dogs are required to be kept away from the area during visits, so this is perfect for a private adventure for you and your doggie friends, and perhaps a human friend. Hosts understand that many guests have dogs in training and are nervous owners. So when you book a Sniffspot dog field you have the entire private spot to yourself. We also enforce 30 min time buffers between time slots so you will not run into other guest dogs or a previous person when coming or leaving in the field parking area. Some hosts may have multiple fields, but there is always a buffer between fields.
