55I brought my pitty/Shepard 9 month old here. It’s the biggest open space he’s ever been in. He was tired after 20 minutes.
Great location. We heard dogs and livestock from nearby but saw neither. I love the secluded parking and access to the creek. Liz X.

55Buster had a blast here! The agility set up is absolutely amazing. He is a Husky so his breed doesn’t have the same drive as others. If you have a herding or working breed, this place is an absolute dream. There’s a tree rope for dogs who like bite work and a large open space for dogs who like to fetch and run. Definitely worth the drive up.Taylor H.

55We’ve come to this sniff spot many times now and really love it. It’s a little far from LA but I think totally worth the drive and one of the best values of sniff spots in the greater LA area.
Trying the agility is fun bonding with your pup and the creek is nice for them to cool off.
Two things to note. There are dogs continuously barking from somewhere else on the property. Both of our dogs are reactive and it doesn’t bother them, but something to keep in mind if it might stress out your reactive dog.
Also, the creek is not fenced in. If your dog doesn’t have great recall I highly recommend bringing a long lead if you want to enjoy that part of the property. Ysabel B.

55First time here and will be back for sure. We were there midday and it was hot so we didn’t spend too much time in the sand area, but to be able to walk the dogs in the creek with no one around was priceless.
Might want to bring a ball, water bowl, water shoes and towels.

55The directions to the site were easy to follow. The place is a dream come true! My dogs loved the creek. I turned them loose and they had a blast. One of my dogs is aggressive, but without any other dogs around he could play and be free. It was the best time ever! We loved it and want to go back!Jennifer A.

55Nice large sandy arena for the dogs to run and play. There were several toys available including a ChuckIt so we could do long distance ball tossing. The surface was soft and easy on their feet. It was early so the temperature was perfect for extended play. There was water in the creek. We did use the small pool that was in the arena. There was a bucket to dispose of my poop bags. Definitely will be visiting again. Erin M.

55Visited for the first time. Loved it and will definitely be back! Huge space to for my dog to run around, chase a ball and frisbee. Little pool to cool the paws. Water to fill bowl. A big tree in the middle
Provides shade. Unfortunately there were a couple of poops left behind from previous visitors but it didn't keep us from being to run and around. The seclusion was very nice! As other reviews noted you can hear the dogs from the boarding center but it did not impact our visit. Jasmine H.

55 We drove 50 miles for this beautiful spot where my dog played, ran and explored and it was worth it 10 times over! Easy to follow entry directions. Both play areas are a dogs dream! Just when you think it couldn’t get any better you can take a quick walk to the creek and experience a whole other sniffing, wading and exploring adventure! We will definitely be back! Terri M.

55Lovely trip as always. Our dogs get so excited the second we turn in now! This is definitely our favorite sniff spot. I do recommend going early if possible because that California heat can make the ground hot for little paws. There are some shaded spots, but the cooler ground makes for more space to roam. Owner leaves some balls and toys out which we super appreciate. Our red heeler is obsessed with the herding ball. There is also a hose and pail for thirsty pups. Very considerate of the owner (many thanks to them)Leanne C.

FAQ About Fillmore Dog Parks
Are dog parks good for dogs?
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.
Are dog parks safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog. 3% of reviews on Sniffspot visits in the Fillmore area are 5 stars.
How do I know if a dog park works for my dog?
You can filter Sniffspot dog parks by fencing and distractions. If your dog doesn't have good recall, you can visit one of our 251 fully fenced dog parks in the area. If your dog is reactive to other dogs, you can visit one of our 317 off leash areas where there are no dogs audible or visible nearby. You can also filter locations to avoid other domestic animals and people. We also recommend reading reviews and reaching out to the host with any questions.
