We’re part of the rescue community and open up our space as a way to support and further our efforts in animal rescue, and every booking helps us continue doing what we love!❤️🐶🐱 Given how hot it’s been, we’re happy to offer our yard even after the sun goes down. The yard is a spacious 0.18 acres with plenty of room for pups to run and play. The pool is dog-friendly and features side steps (which our own dogs use!) and built-in entry steps, plus a relaxing lounge area in the water. Yes, you’re more than welcome to swim with your pup! 🏊‍♀️ For safety, the pool has a max depth of around 5 feet, and we kindly ask that guests notify us after booking if they’re bringing 🚨 children who cannot swim🚨. At night, the pool lights up—you can choose a classic white glow or switch to a color-changing mode just tell us what you prefer after booking. Our patio lights also illuminate the yard for safe and fun nighttime visits. Whether you want to play frisbee, toss a ball, or just kick back, there’s something for everyone. If you’d prefer to stay dry, we have poolside seating as well as shaded spots on the patio. You’re also welcome to bring a speaker and enjoy your favorite music while you hang out. NOT your perfect yard but plenty of space for your pup

June 9th: We’ve had an outbreak of slime mold in the backyard. It’s not harmful or toxic to dogs but if you see little white puffs in the grass that’s what they are. If kicked open they look like diarrhea from dogs. Again, not harmful just wanted to let you know. As it heats up they will disappear. Not your perfect yard, digging and construction going on, equipment may or may not be out. If you’re looking for the perfect yard for you this IS NOT the place for you. If you’re looking for a place for your dog then we MIGHT have the backyard for them. Ok, now that we have that out of the way if you still feel froggy in visiting our backyard you are more than welcome. BUT please keep in mind we are still doing renovations and making our backyard more presentable not only for us but for you, our guests. If you can’t stand the unsightly look of dirt and rock with wood stacked away, tractors parked on the side, open sheds and maybe coming across some dog poop then this place really may not be for you. We do try our best to clean up but hey, sometimes we miss. I feel like this has to be said. IF YOU’RE NOT READING THIS DESCRIPTION AND ARE STILL UPSET WHEN YOU SHOW UP THEN THIS IS NOT THE YARD FOR YOU. We are happy to share our space with you but we are still working on making it look better. The Description: 1 acre lot with large yard and pool for swimming. Light Construction is still going on but I’m mostly done and will be inside. Come visit and please don’t expect a perfect looking yard. Also please DO NOT PARK IN THE DRIVEWAY. There is plenty of space to park alongside our front yard. **Important: if your dog does go swimming and you decide to take the pool hose out PLEASE RETURN IT BEFORE YOU LEAVE. If you don’t it will burn up the pool pump. Please try and keep them from biting the hose. **Small dogs like chihuahuas may be able to escape through the fence. Please look at pictures in the listing. **We do have chickens but they are in a large cage with pallets blocking the view of them. Please message us if they are too much of distraction for you doggo. **We are currently working on installing new grass by the pool so it’ll be a mess for a bit.

Pool bathroom is on the west side of the house and is marked. I'd say half of the bookings are people wanting to use the yard for large dog social gatherings. There is a sitting area under an oak tree and plenty of room for running around and playing with your dog or multiple dogs. We've had "Corgi" parties with 20 small dogs running around having fun. Or perhaps you just want to “paws” and relax in the shade. If so, then Shaggy’s Shack Sniffspot is for you....and your awesome human, too! Shaggy’s Shack in Tempe has lots of grass for running, chasing balls, and doing the zoomies! It’s fully enclosed with a 5 to 6-foot block wall and more than 25 trees and bushes to explore. You can play fetch with tons of toys and there’s a designated digging spot, too. Or maybe you just want to cool off in a diving pool that’s professionally cleaned every Wednesday–even during Tempe’s cold months. Oh, and Shaggy’s Shack also has features shaded chairs for your human to relax as they watch you explore, play fetch, swim, and have a pawsitively good time. Shaggy’s Shack’s residents (and their humans) will be home but out of sight. The entire lot is just shy of a half-acre, and it’s conveniently located in Tempe. Many dogs live in the area, they may bark in greeting when they hear you. We offer many pawsome amenities at Shaggy’s Shack, including bags and a trash can for your nature calls and a disposable water dish with lots of fresh water (and water for your human, too). Clean towels for drying off after you’ve doggie-paddled in the pool are also provided. Of course, use of the pool is at your and your human’s own risk. The pool is chlorinated and not heated in the winter months. Your human may use the pool to get a closer look at your pawsome doggie paddling technique. While we provide towels for you, we ask that your human brings their own towels. There is no fence or gate around the pool, and we strongly encourage you to bring your own doggie life vest if you do decide to get your paws wet. Discounts are available for multiple dogs. Visit times can be extended if there is availability. Respecting Sniffspot’s 30-minute transition time between visit times is very important. So that no one gets hurt or gets into something that could be dangerous, glass, alcohol and smoking are prohibited. All pups need to be up-to-date on all vaccinations to keep our resident and visiting doggos healthy. Since Shaggy’s Shack Sniffspot is for dogs, please be mindful of your doggie to human ratio; kids are welcome but must be 100% supervised, especially around the ungated, unfenced pool. Fully fenced (cinder block) yard with huge pool and grass area! Swim with your dog(s) and have fun! Bring a towels and your cooler full of snacks and drinks, we'll provide an outdoor table, 4 chairs, 2 lounge chairs, 2 mini fridges, some dog toys, a water hose (to fill up your dog bowl), power outlets, and a ton of fun! Unfortunately, human bathroom is not provided (working on that) so please remember to go before you come over. We have two dogs that will stay inside the home during your stay. They might bark occasionally but they will not be joining you. Be advised there is one security camera on the patio but as long as you're safe, not destructive, and not doing anything illegal, we aren't looking and we don't care what you do! You'll have 100% privacy from neighbors as well. You can park on the driveway gravel or on the street. Above all, have a fun!
