** We are open and accepting bookings on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve and New Years Day. ** 23 acres enclosed with 4' high woven wire fence, a mix of open field and heavy woods, sometimes turkey, grouse, gophers, and bunnies, lots of "sniff therapy"! Private entrance is shaded with easy access right onto the wooded trails! The portapotty and dog rinse station are located in the parking area. We have bug sprays and poop bags at the entrance and the far end of the field for you to use if needed. Special visitation hours or larger groups may be available under prior arrangement. Shoot us a message, and we can usually make larger groups or people traveling to/from dog competitions happen! For those traveling, we might also be able to accommodate visits outside of our normal hours. ***now that we have freezing temps at night, we are not leaving water out in the field.***

On our private dog park you will see The Sparta Trail, a small hill, woods, creek/river, and occasional wild animals. It’s a beautiful scenic view! For your dog we also have dog bags, drinking water, toys, treats, mini towels and kiddie pool. For the owner we have hand sanitizer, picnic table with chairs and trash can.

We loved our visit here! The owners are very kind and came and showed us where we could hike. Huge, beautiful property with lots of trails and space to explore. My dog really enjoyed sniffing and following all the deer trails. We can't wait to be come back! :)

This place overall was so great! So much space for the dogs to run and a bunch of trail options. I’ll definitely be using it again because my dogs had a blast! One thing to keep in mind for those with dogs that have long hair- there are a bunch of burrs right at the start of the trail. My cattle dog mixes did fine, but my friends golden retriever had to have around 30 burrs cut out of his hair after the walk. Just something to be mindful of! Everything else was great.

This is the second time we’ve visited this spot, and we can’t wait to come back. My dogs think it’s heaven on earth and the owners are so kind. Lots of space for dogs to romp and sniff and plenty of fun obstacles to tackle if you’ve got an athletic/adventurous dog like me!

This was a great spot! The trail to the right was a little steep for our tripawd dog so next time we’d try the flatter trail. Also do watch out for the burrs before you get to the start of the trail. Our lab jumped right in there! We will definitely be back!

I would give more stars if allowed! Beautiful property with great trails. The trails are mowed and go on forever. Small areas that have some springs so the dogs can get their feet wet. Very friendly and helpful property owners. Turned out I actually knew them. They gave me the lay of the land and gave suggestions of where to go as to what my interest was on the hike. Definitely will go again.

Are dog fields safe?

If you are looking for an adventure, but also looking for safety, Sniffspot dog fields are a great option. While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, distracted dog owners, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks are much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private space for just you and doggy friends you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). Especially for training, privacy is ideal. Contrary to public dog parks, all Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog for off leash exercise or outdoor training. 93% of reviews on Sniffspot visits are 5 stars, while public dog parks often do not even have verified reviews. How do I know if a dog field works for my dog?

All park rental information is available online. Start by filtering parks by fencing, size and distractions, to find a private spot that works for your dog. If your dog has poor recall, you can visit one of our secure fields. If your dog is reactive to other dogs, you can visit one of our dog fields where there are no dogs audible or visible nearby. You can review the details of the listing to make sure it works as your desired activity space, for example, safe dog exercise, dog training, a stress-free adventure with your furry friend or even a puppy event. You can even check the park amenities chart for amenities such as indoor training facilities, agility field, synthetic turf, exercise balls or field parking availability in advance. If inclement weather is an issue or poor field conditions, you can reschedule your visit up to 2 hours in advance.

What are the requirements to bring my dog to a Sniffspot dog field?

We require that all four-legged friends have basic vaccinations or equivalent titers. We do not allow dogs with a bite history. We require that guests sign our waiver and agree to follow our safety rules. Make sure to check host rules before visiting to ensure, for instance, that you are following allowable sports activities rules and any special events rules.

Will there be other dogs at the Sniffspot field at the same time as me?

No. Facility rentals are for private play time and any host dogs are required to be kept away from the area during visits, so this is perfect for a private adventure for you and your doggie friends, and perhaps a human friend. Hosts understand that many guests have dogs in training and are nervous owners. So when you book a Sniffspot dog field you have the entire private spot to yourself. We also enforce 30 min time buffers between time slots so you will not run into other guest dogs or a previous person when coming or leaving in the field parking area. Some hosts may have multiple fields, but there is always a buffer between fields.
