Conveniently located next to a public trail access, and located within private property. The lawn is a mix of short grass and soft moss, this is regularly maintained and never sprayed with chemicals or fertilizers. Fully fenced on all four sides with no low spots\gaps. One secured swinging gate at the entrance. Dedicated parking along the road just before the house and is clearly marked with a sign! The table next to the fenced area has a mailbox with hand sanitizer and other goodies, there is also a water\food bowl available. (I have a hose on the side of the house you are welcome to use) Please dispose of any used poop bags and other trash in the little blue trash bin under the table. The road next to the fenced area is privately owned, so the only people and vehicles that pass by are residents and delivery couriers but they are not very visible due to the difference in elevation. People occasionally pass by on the public trail and some do bring their pets, but it is mostly obscured from view by the trees on our property and separated by two sets of fences. Note that we are within hearing distance from a sportsman club\firing range, so at times there may be noise. Please reach out with any questions you may have!

Boarded by two, large pastures, a private road with limited use and our barn. Occasionally during the wet months flocks of geese/ducks may land in the wetlands adjacent. We have goats, turkeys, geese, ducks and chickens but they are on the other side of the property and should not be seen/heard. We have two dogs, Veles and Flora, that will be on the other side of the property or in the house. There is a covered bench and trash can in the spot, fresh water is also available. This beautiful 2-acre spot is fully fenced - 4-5' high, gates 4' high. There are potentially 2 areas that you can use right next to each other (fenced in between). Please note however, that the first Pasture that you come to does have an area where dogs can potentially get through and back to the gravel road. It is right inside the first gate on your right in the forest area there. The great thing is we are not near any sort of busy road. One thing to note is that my neighbor on the adjoining property has friendly, smaller dogs, and they do bark from time to time. You really can't see them all that much as there is brush, sticker bushes, and trees in between our properties. That said, you may hear them from time to time. What I find that works in quieting them up is to just walk over and talk to them. We welcome dogs that have different anxieties as well as being dog reactive and people reactive. There have been many people here with their dogs who have done just fine. There is a spigot with fresh clean well water, next to the clawfoot tub inside second pasture. We also have a bowl there for your use. We have wood for you to purchase, should you desire a fire while there. There are plenty of chairs and benches for folks to sit on. To enter the fenced Sniffspot follow the red reflectors up the grassy lawn hill past the large livestock gate that’s at the top, go around the top corner there is a people sized gate. Easy to find, easy to enter our fenced Sniffspot. Easy latch for coming, and going. If you choose to be adventurous you may choose to visit the forest area behind the fenced area. It’s a steep hill up with natural woodland ground, lots of ferns, beautiful nature untouched. Old trails exist, we have not cleared them in recent years, feel free to explore them if you would like to just know, they are not maintained and certain times of year there is brush and ferns. We have running water with a hose for your convenience at our pump house. You may occasionally see myself, my husband or my elderly mother by the house, and patio, working on the property and gardens, area around our home. We live above farms that takes care of their fields so you may hear mowing in the distance in the valley we set above. Please do not pick, or disturb the fruit on the trees. Please keep children, and all guests off the fence line, and do not step on the gates or fencing. Shut the gates when coming, and going. Please leash your dog/dogs upon arrival until you become aware of the setting. Your reservation must include the correct number of dogs in your visit that is stated in your reservation time. Correct or update this if need be before you start your visit at Barkley Park. We are happy to share our safe quiet countryside with pups and their people. We do not meet our Sniffspot guests, with that being said, feel free to send us a text or ask if you need help with anything. Enjoy! We do offer pet boarding in our home for select clients. Our facility has a fenced off-leash Dog Park with Agility Equipment with unfenced on-leash grassy potty area just outside. Our agility course is complete with multiple single jumps, A-frame, dog walk, tunnel, teeter and weave poles. On-leash trail walk through our wooded trails behind the dog park for a small additional fee. Cedarbrook Farms is a 60 acre farm with about half of this acreage as wooded trails behind the dog agility park. The main trail loop is to the right and is maintained (however there are two wet spots, we recommend you wear boots in the rainy season), the loop to the left may or may not be maintained. You can access the main loop out the back gate of the dog park (be sure to close and secure the gate behind you) or if you go out the front dog park gate, walk around towards the back of the dog park and hang right when you see trail options. There are single track cross through trails through the center of the main loop that you can explore at your leisure as well. The main loop is about a 10-15 minute walk depending on your pace. Dogs must remain on leash at all times in the unfenced areas, horses/dogs share use of these trails. There is a portapotty available on site at the main arena barn, please have your dog in the car prior to approaching the arena barn area. We also have Cedarbrook Veterinary Care, veterinarian Dr. Hannah Mueller, on site and offer canine acupuncture, chiropractic, SCENAR and Theraplate. 2.1 acres of fully-fenced heaven. As a dog owner/lover, this provides a necessary peace of mind. Pull inside the gate, and let ‘em lose! Poop happens typically w/in first 10 mins; bags can be disposed in trash. Hose water available by front door, back patio, and chicken coop area. All areas are fair game once you are inside the gate. Once a stop on the Gig Harbor Garden Tour, this property boasts a variety of terrain to keep your pup(s) busy for hours. We are at the end of a private lane, and the back of the property abuts to 50 acres of DNR. Sightings of cattle, wild peacocks, deer, raccoons and grouse are common. Make yourself (and family) at home around the fire pit, small orchard, tree house, trampoline, flagstone paths and trails. Good shoes highly recommended. NOTE: Sniffspot is promoting their “Sniffpass”, and they have the box automatically checked to “Opt in” when you make a booking. This is out of my control. I do not want my guests to feel Sniffpass is necessary to book my spot. What a wonderful experience!!! You can tell lots of care has gone into making this Sniffspot comfortable and accommodating. Parking was easy, the yard was beautiful and secure, and there was even a little trash can and extra waste bags. We will be returning!!! (Please note you can hear the rifle range in the distance— it was not at all disruptive for us, but just a tiny detail to be aware of if your pup isn’t a fan of ‘booms’ ☺️)

The spot is very nice and clean, the doggie bags and trash can are easily accessible. The spot isn't very large, good for medium and small dogs so it worked out perfect for us! The parking is a little confusing, it's located before the house on the road, overall great spot!

Clean and the space is just the right size for our medium sized dog. We went in the morning. There are trees on one side giving enough shade with secured solid fence all around and a bowl for water is provided. There is a nearby shooting range thereby the shots are heard but it didn’t bother our dog. We got a little confused about parking but once we saw the signage, we knew we were at the right place. Instructions going towards the sniffspot entrance was very detailed. Overall, we love it! Will be coming back. Thanks Ann for providing this space!

My dogs loved this sniff spot! We have a yard ourselves but they were so excited just to be somewhere new! The grass was so well taken care of, green and thick they spent at least 15 minutes of the time just enjoying rolling around in it and getting a good backrub. Very well maintained safe neighborhood and home. Easy to get to and at the end of a dead end street area so no traffic at all which was super nice for unloading and loading our dogs. I wasn't sure about booking a smaller yard because usually I try to only do 1 acre or more but We loved it here and will back.

I love this spot and so do my dogs. We will be back. The grass is in such good shape my dogs just wants to roll on their backs in it. There is also a hose that you can use to refresh the water or fill your own bowl!! There is good shade in hot times

Very secluded private spot big enough for chasing a ball and running around! Will definitely go again! As a note: There was some pretty loud construction noise nearby so if your dog is skittish to loud noises it may not be the best fit currently.

We brought our chihuahuas here for the first time. They take a while to warm up to new places but the area is a really nice amount of space for two smaller dogs and it's very secure in a beautiful area. It is next to a gun range which I think had one of our dogs a little scared but we think with repeated visits he will be ok. We will definitely be back!

This was a great spot for a doggy playdate! There was plenty of space for the dogs to run and a nice area with chairs for the humans to relax. The area was safe with no holes in fences, and there were plenty of toys everywhere that the dogs would find and bring us. I would definitely take my dog back.

Sniffspot only allows one booking at a time and any host dogs are required to be kept away from the spot during visits. We also enforce 30 min time buffers between bookings.
