55This is our 2nd time coming to this spot. It’s lovely for some space for my dogs to just explore a bit. It’s full on woods- lots of leaves and mud and dirt etc and the road ya walk on is pretty overgrown and muddy at times. Just fine for us, but it IS full on the woods/outdoors. Our favorite thing is the creek. My dogs love to play in it on a hot day like today and it gives us regular water access so I don’t have to haul it. Host is friendly, accommodating, and I appreciated her a ton when she brought a chair out for when my old dog needed a break. We took some of our time to just sit by the creek a bit and enjoy the woods. We’ll be back! Bernadet D.

55Our two doggies had a blast and between the water, trails, and climbing, they were definitely worn out by the time we were headed home. We will definitely be back! Jennie F.

55This property was beautiful! Next time I will wear long pants. We didn't travel far, because the path was a bit overgrown and I didn't want to scratch my legs up. My pup still had loads of fun and enjoyed watching the sheep! 1 hour was not long enough! The 3 rams did make me a bit twitchy.Casey W.

55Once you get beyond the initial gates you find yourself on a beautiful trail surrounded by endless woods for dogs to explore. Our three dogs had a ball. It is a bit overgrown and was very buggy the day we visited so dress accordingly. They splashed around in the creek and if there is mud to be found our old girl will find it and she did!Joanna C.

55Great trails, and the owners are very kind 😊 If you’re looking for a nice place to hike with your dog, this is it. There’s a couple of gates to walk through before you get to trails so no worries if the dogs running into the road. Jacquelyn A.

55Always a pleasure to walk at Jennifer’s place. The snow makes it even more magical and no long grass to navigate. So glad Rox and I found her. Bernadet D.

55Jennifer is very welcoming and great at communicating about the property, showing me the gates and main trail before leaving Zoe and me to explore the acres and acres of woods, with a stream and fenced pastures that are available for doggos that would otherwise run off. I’m sure Zoe thought she had died and gone to heaven having the place to herself! She even got to meet the friendliest horses, as they came right up to the fence to say hi on our way out. The chickens and sheep didn’t want anything to do with her though lol. The only time you’ll see other animals (not usually dogs) btw is entering and leaving past the farm creatures in their own fenced in areas (unless of course you run into something wild out in the woods.) Also, as Jennifer warned ahead of time: there will be mud and there will be ticks, so be sure you and your pup(s) are prepared. Amazing experience; can’t wait to go back! Oh, and do yourself a favor and buy a dozen of her farm fresh eggs for $3.00!Micki C.

55This spot is just as advertised. My dog loved seeing sheep and lambs for the first time. We went on a nice long hike and played in the creek. A tremendous value for the price. Karena S.

55I accidentally booked for the wrong time and Jennifer was so accommodating to let me come a few minutes earlier than anticipated. She helped me wrangle my not very easy crew out of the car and gave us a great run down of the land. We had so much fun and all 3 dogs are home sleeping like bears 🩷Savanna G.

FAQ about our LaFayette dog parks
Are dog parks good for dogs?
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.
Are dog parks safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog. 95% of reviews on Sniffspot visits in the LaFayette area are 5 stars.
How do I know if a dog park works for my dog?
You can filter Sniffspot dog parks by fencing and distractions. If your dog doesn't have good recall, you can visit one of our 44 fully fenced dog parks in the area. If your dog is reactive to other dogs, you can visit one of our 14 off leash areas where there are no dogs audible or visible nearby. You can also filter locations to avoid other domestic animals and people. We also recommend reading reviews and reaching out to the host with any questions.
