Our SniffSpot is located in the woods north of Chelan. You and your pup can roam our property as well as Wenatchee National Forest and DNR land. We regularly see deer, coyote, and other wildlife. Our property is not fenced, so you'll need good recall and perhaps some treats. While I am sure there could be rattlesnakes here, we have not seen one in the 9 years we have been on this property. When we had dogs, they roamed freely and without incident.

Absolutely beautiful sniffspot! I think this has to have been my girl’s favorite spot so far. With fields, mowed woodland trails, grasses, flowers, mosses...there were so many new smells to sniff and fun textures to feel under her little paws. Also the easiest rural spot to find so far as well. Very well marked with clear directions and an obvious parking spot. Lots of nice touches like a map to take with you as you explore, water and treats available for your pooch(es). Small note that there is (very pretty) foxglove around the property so just keep an eye out if your dog is the type to want to taste test the local flora. We loved this picturesque and private location and will be back again soon!

Both the dog and his human love this place! The combination of forest trails and open meadows provide lots of opportunities for dogs to run and explore and for humans to amble. This was our second visit, and the hosts have added some nice amenities including more signage, water for dogs, and poop bags. Thank you Gayle and Jack for opening up your lovely property to dogs and their people!

This was our third trip to the Homesteaders sniffspot, and once again Dog and Human both had a great time! Parts of the meadows are now mowed, but there is still plenty of tall grass for dogs who like to romp. Homesteaders is in our permanent rotation, and highly recommended.

We loved this spot. Lots of trails and meadows. Super cute signs showing the way. There is water and dog cookies and lots of sniffing to do. We will be back for sure. Also it’s right next to Paca Pride guest ranch so stopping in to buy alpaca socks is a bonus!

Beautiful, clean, and well maintained Sniffspot with gorgeous views! The hosts care about dogs as you can see their meadows and trails are named after different dogs. There were poop bags and water available too. It was a beautiful day to explore the trails and enjoy the views but one of our dogs got freaked out by noise in the distance and we had to leave early. The hosts were genuinely concerned about the noise and kindly offered us a refund. Our other dog didn't seem bothered by the noise and had a lot of fun running around and exploring the trails.

We had a wonderful time exploring the trails and meadows, all named after former rescue dogs. This spot is perfect for hikers and fetchers alike; Lani had no interest in the latter, too many smells. The mountain views are stunning!! We felt immersed in nature without being on busy, public trails. We went on an extremely warm day and were grateful the host had water set out. They also had waste bags available. Toward the end of our visit, the pup went a bit rogue and helped herself to exploring the hosts’ porch. They were very kind and gracious with her antics. We will definitely return!

We really enjoyed this sniff spot! One of my dogs has reactivity issues and there were no people or dogs around. It’s a very private setting and there’s dense thick woods separating you from any roads. There was a tiny bit of gunfire in the distance but it didn’t bother my dogs at all. We spent the full hour wandering around the trails, and the pups loved playing fetch in the meadow area too. The trails are clearly marked and a map is even provided at the entrance.

This is such a great sniffspot! We booked 2 hours and packed a picnic. Our dog had an absolute blast and we loved the views. The pathways are very well maintained and the land is absolutely beautiful. We loved the additions of treats, poop bags, and maps. What a special spot!

Great spot! Very secluded. We did hear gunshots and other dogs barking but it didn't reallybother our dogs. The signage was so clear and well done, which we really appreciated. There were poop bags, a garbage can, and lots of water plus treats available which was fantastic. The trails were clear and well mowed.

The trails here were beautiful and peaceful! My dog and I enjoyed looping through them again and again. There were lots of yummy blackberries to snack on too! Gayle and Jack sent a lovely and message before we arrived, and thoughtfully shared the status of the summer wildfire smoke in their area so we'd know what to expect. Worth noting: I have Verizon and lost service in the area. Would recommend making sure you have directions and any info you need while you're Sniffspotting, saved to your phone in a way that doesn't require the net! (It was also nice to disconnect, tbh!)

This is such a wonderful spot. Clear trail signage and all signage actually. It was rainy and a bit windy but this space was perfect for that kind of weather. Wide trails and large meadows meant great running and romping. I can't wait to visit again.

Awesome property! There is a great mixture of flat meadows and wooded trails to explore. The trails are well maintained and marked with legible signs. We saw birds, a deer bedding area and beautiful scenery. My pup enjoyed trying to retrieve lingering berries of the season. Complimentary water, treats and waste bags were graciously provided. There is no gate in the parking area, so ensure good recall or a leash when getting out of your vehicle. Thank you for sharing!

Are dog fields safe?

If you are looking for an adventure, but also looking for safety, Sniffspot dog fields are a great option. What are the requirements to bring my dog to a Sniffspot dog field?

We require that all four-legged friends have basic vaccinations or equivalent titers. We do not allow dogs with a bite history. We require that guests sign our waiver and agree to follow our safety rules. Make sure to check host rules before visiting to ensure, for instance, that you are following allowable sports activities rules and any special events rules.

Will there be other dogs at the Sniffspot field at the same time as me?

No. Facility rentals are for private play time and any host dogs are required to be kept away from the area during visits, so this is perfect for a private adventure for you and your doggie friends, and perhaps a human friend. Hosts understand that many guests have dogs in training and are nervous owners. So when you book a Sniffspot dog field you have the entire private spot to yourself. We also enforce 30 min time buffers between time slots so you will not run into other guest dogs or a previous person when coming or leaving in the field parking area. Some hosts may have multiple fields, but there is always a buffer between fields.
