Coming here will feel like you are in the country with the beauty of the mountains, a field to run in and a trail to hike in. *Please note that the acreage is a total of 86 acres including the crop areas. There is very little time that the crop area is restricted. When the pumpkins are grown, it is fun to walk up the rows and we welcome the pups to be in there, take photos etc. If you visit during planting, we ask the dogs stay out of that area as that can damage the crop. There is lots of space to run and walk/hike. The perimeter trail is approximately 3.5km. There is short grass, tall grass the dogs can go in and out all over the field in the front and middle of the property. As well as up the hill trail.

This is 40 undeveloped, private wooded acres less than 15 minutes from Bellingham and 10 minutes from Mount Baker Highway. There is a long unpaved road to wander on as you adventure deeper into the property. Trails to come, until then, explore as you wish. Enjoy nature’s agility course by wandering at your will. For Pack (more than 3) Pricing, message us for a bigger discount. In the wet season, there is mud at a few low spots on the back trail. Please consider wearing boots for now.

22+ acre property with 20 acres that is fully/securely fenced. The front half is an open field & orchard, the back is forested and has maintained trails throughout. There's covered seating in the field & woods, portapotty, drinking water station, toys etc - see amenities for more details. There are seasonal streams, ponds in the woods this time of year, plus extra puddles & mud during/after moderate-heavy rain. Foot bridges and woodchips keep the main trails in decent shape for walking but there are plenty of muddy areas to explore so expect a wet, dirty dog - waterproof traction boots (muckboots etc) recommended. There's a dogwash station (elevated, tethers, sidewalls) for faster cleaning that's easy on the back and keeps clothing drier; bring your own towels. Reservations are available up to 30 days in advance. Some days fill fast but plans can change & bookings get modified/canceled (2+hrs beforehand) - check back for an opening if interested. Thank you for being considerate of our space by reading and abiding by SS and spot specific rules and asking all who accompany you to do the same. First time visitors get an auto-message 2hrs beforehand with helpful info.

If you are interested in visiting here, please message and if it works out I’ll be happy to accommodate you. 07/01/22- Important: The Sniffspot platform does not allow hosts the option to approve or cancel reservations, as such I have blocked my calendar to more easily control reservations. I often don’t know until last minute when the forest manager I’m working with for the DNR forest cleanup project is on-site, the logging will take place hopefully this winter. — This 21-acre forest with a large beaver pond is classified as a class-A wetland. In addition to this, you can find a shallow creek, beaver dams, old-growth forest, and phenomenal bird habitat. Find privacy and quiet with the exception of the songs of many birds and woodpeckers. This property was once a show home, but a fire took place over 10 years ago and the house was not rebuilt. While the ruins that remain are minimal, it sets an interesting backdrop; perhaps it can be the scene for a mysterious photoshoot. Within the property is a small orchard, we do ask to try to not let the pups do their business there. Spring 2022 Update: One picnic table have been added to the property.

What a treasure!! Barb was very friendly and gracious. She has everything you might need; poop bags, water, shade structure in the field, hose to rinse off the dogs, fetch-it balls, frisbees, herding balls...and the forest!!! Oh the forest. So beautiful and, yes, "peaceful". I'll be back many more times to explore all the various trails and to simply enjoy being able to relax with my dog off leash knowing we're both safe and sound in a little slice of heaven. Great location with open space and wooded trails. Dogs loved it and so did we. Barb provided helpful information as it was our first visit. Shelter, places to sit and rest, and water were all available in multiple locations. The trails were well maintained. We’re looking forward to our next visit.

What a wonderful spot for our first Sniff Spot. A giant open field to run in, and lovely, carefully marked shaded forest trails to sniff and explore. Water, chuck it balls, a shaded picnic table and a portable toilet are really nice touches. Careful timing ensures everyone can enjoy their visit without stress. We will be back.

Denver had the BEST time at the Sniffspot today. Barb (owner) is so kind and this is such a fun property! A huge open field, a wooded area with a really cool trail system, and all the amenities your puppy could need: toys, water, hose access to clean off when he goes jumping in the mud puddles. We really appreciated all the care that was so evidently put in to make this a safe and enjoyable spot for dogs. Definitely worth the drive to spend the morning exploring.

I can't express how wonderful both this spot is as well as the owners. It is hands down our favorite sniffspot. It is appointed so thoughtfully (toys, water station, picnic spot, even bug spray), and the trails are marked and maintained throughout the entire property. If I lived in the area, they would probably have to restrict my use so they wouldn't have to see me every day! Outside of their amazing space, today we had the very unfortunate problem of dropping our car key in the field chasing down our pup. Not only were they so gracious and understanding in us being there 20 minutes past our booking, but they also dug out a metal detector and helped us walk the field looking for the key! I am so grateful that they offer the opportunity to use their lovely space, but today I was also very grateful that they are such lovely people. Thank you!

This was our second visit to Barb's property, and we had a fantastic time! When we were here in February it was very wet, but this time it was breezy and dry. Our dogs LOVED exploring the forest, and racing around on the field. This spot is a gem, we will be back!

Terrific spot for dogs to run free off leash and be safe. Lots of area to explore…fenced 25 acres! Our pups love going there and so do we. Very well maintained. Covered rest stops for pups with water & dishes. Chairs for folks to rest too. Great couple own this spot. Great sniffspot! Highly recommend it!

OMG!! What an awesome find!!!! We had such a great time hiking through the forest watching our pup zoom through all the trees. He was a big fan of the river as well!! Grace’s property is a dogs paradise for sure. Would love to come back and camp in her cabins that are scattered through! Bring your boots on typical Washington day, but so worth it!! The welcome sign with our names & a little goodie bag on our car were great touches!! 5 stars 🌟🌟

While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, inattentive owners, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks are much safer than a city or county park. With a Sniffspot off-leash area all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). Will there be other dogs at the Sniffspot hiking trail at the same time as me?

Sniffspot only allows one booking at a time and any host dogs are required to be kept away from the spot during visits. We also enforce 30 min time buffers between bookings.
