55My Joy dog park to the rescue! Visited a small park that didn't work out for my reactive foster, so we left early ...I put Cricket in the car and booked My Joy and went straight there. He loved it (as always) and being at M Joy helped calm him down. Love Mt Joy!Brandy B.

55This was our favorite Sniff Spot that we've ever been to! Seeing my coonhound exploring two acres off leash really blessed my husband and I. He had the best time and is gonna sleep HARD tonight! :) A bonus was that we got to see cows, horses, and donkeys in the distance. Courtney H.

(If you have a super tiny dog you may want to guard the entrance gate if they’d be curious enough to attempt escape; ours didn’t care but he could’ve hopped through if he really wanted to)
55My boys LOVED running around here. This was a great place for them to do sprints from one end to the next. The neighbor's dogs did come out at one point so she tried moving them away from the fence. I feel bad that my dogs were barking, but they love running with other dogs up and down fence lines so I was fine with it.Taylor S.

55After almost a full week of traveling and being leashed the dogs needed some freedom. This spot was perfect. The beagles had plenty of room to run but definitely preferred all the vegetation for sniffing. Did a tick check before loading up into the car and was pleasantly surprised to see they were covered! FAQ About Mount Joy Dog Parks
Are dog parks good for dogs?
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.
Are dog parks safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). How do I know if a dog park works for my dog?
You can filter Sniffspot dog parks by fencing and distractions. If your dog doesn't have good recall, you can visit one of our 312 fully fenced dog parks in the area.
