Tucked away and surrounded by a peaceful year round running creek, several mature oak trees providing plenty of shade and toys for you and your pup to have a fun adventure together without the distraction of other animals or people. We provide several seating options, a paddle board (seasonal), floaties (seasonal), cooler for drinks and food, toys, water (cold/hot/ice machine as well), water bowls, water shoes, doggie life jackets in varies sizes, doggie shampoo, natural bug sprays, doggie and hooman sunscreen, treats, a hose area to rinse off yourself and doggies, and a indoor bathroom. Our spot is meant for those who are looking to have a fun safe place to swim and play as well as those who want to enjoy some or all of the amenities we provide. Additionally our creek is not shared with any public access. The strip of land across the creek which is mainly covered in overgrowth of blackberries and trees is privately owned and fully fenced. No public access is granted there. Additionally during rattlesnake season it is always good to be aware of your surroundings no matter where you go, however we have not encountered any snakes on our property to this date. Our creek as well as many other play areas on our property is used safely daily by our 2 labs, 2 frenchies, kitty, family, friends and Sniffspot reservations*

This spot is amazing! We are definitely booking a longer block of time for our next visit as our 90 minutes just flew by. Our boy Dez, who is not a fan of water, couldn’t get enough of the creek. Everything you need is there and so much space to explore.

Our second visit, and we had a blast once again! The host already provides everything you need, but it was cool seeing even more items added since our last visit (or items we didn’t notice the first time). We noticed another inflatable stand up board, raised dog bath tub, and additional shady tent area. This time we weren’t as shy and helped ourself to the doggie life jackets, dog treats, and checked out all the cabinets of toys. We like that the creek is shallow enough to stand in. Makes it easy to hop on the boards and our dog loves to bound through the water. I still recommend that your dog have a bit of recall skills, but our dog has so much fun that he doesn’t even notice the fence line at all. We’ll definitely be back!

My girls had such a fun time. Definitely recommend having a good recall (we used a long line just for added measure) but was such a blast! Awesome spot to escape the harsh Sac heat!

This was our first time using sniff spot and my little “fat boy” LOVED IT! This host really put the special touches in. I loved having a safe, secure, outdoor private adventure. Our dog is pet and people friendly, but being able to have a private spot to enjoy off leash, is so much more enjoyable!!!! I will definitely book again! We booked 2 hours (but were late 30 min) so the 90 min was not enough time. I think the price is reasonable, but would love to book a whole day trip, and I wish there was a discounted “day rate” for 4-5 hours.

The set up seems to be very well thought out with anything they/you might need provided: pup beds, toys, kiddie pool, treats, etc / lawn chairs, loungers, umbrella, restrooms, even a cooler with drinks for the hoomans. It definitely made it easy to accommodate any likes/needs of each pup. Even my husband & son had a great time using the various recreational elements provided as well. We brought our own water shoes, pup life jackets, poo bags, towels, drinks & snacks but quickly realized they provideda great variety/range of these items for you. We didn't use them but it's nice to know that if we forget something it's there just in case. They really do think of everything! Now that we know what to expect we will plan to stay longer next time. Though 2 hours of continuous water play and running up the hill after the ball was plenty to really tucker them out! After a good clean scrub @ home they both slept for the rest of the day!! We are already planning our next visit. We are so thankful that this place exits because of people like the hosts who are willing to share their property with total strangers who love their pets like they are our children! This spot was truly amazing! So many amenities exactly as described: fully fenced, flowing private creek, plenty of seating in different areas, poop bucket, water toys such as a paddle board etc., indoor restroom, a rinse off area, and sooo much more. Our gsd's loved running around and especially splashing in the creek. It was my first time on a paddle board and I loved trying it with the dogs. The rinse off station was extremely helpful for removing the sand from the little beach. We look forward to visiting again this summer! It was a dream to escape the city and enjoy nature here. Highly recommend!

This was my very first sniff spot and I have to say they set the bar pretty darn high! The creek is absolutely gorgeous and it's pretty deep I know because my dog didn't want to play in it by herself so I had to get in and Splash around with her a little bit. I really like that they have a restroom for humans! My dog loved the property and she enjoyed chasing her herding ball all over. Lots of amenities lots of places to sit for the humans and for the dogs lots of toys water dishes Etc. The water in the cooler was a little bit warm, but my dog mostly drank out of the creek so it really wasn't a big deal and it's been so hot lately I don't really know how they would keep it cool. We will be back ideally with a couple of more doggy friends so that my dog will Splash in the creek without me getting in it with her. Although it was pretty refreshing! Last but not least the hostess was fantastic I arrived a little bit late and she let me know that I was welcome to stay a little bit longer because there were no guests after me. I thought that was really generous and unexpected.

This is THE best Sniffspot yet!! My sister and I met there with our 4 big dogs and they had a ball. We were able to have a relaxing visit while the dogs ran around and had the time of their lives swimming and sniffing and playing. We stayed 2 hours since it is an hour drive from our home. We are driving home with some very tired pups. My Airedale tends to put her nose down and just go sometimes ignoring her name being called but the fence kept her close enough and she did fine. Having a bathroom was soooo nice. Thank you! We will be back.

This was my first experience with Sniffspot and it did not disappoint! The hosts really go out of their way to make this spot absolutely wonderful! The dogs could want for NOTHING! I’ve been looking for a good place my dogs can swim for quite awhile and this Sniffspot was perfect! When we arrived, my 2 dogs ran straight to the water and jumped in. The hosts had inflatable ramps in the water too so the dogs were able to get out easily. By the water, there are chairs so you can sit while throwing the ball (my dog spent the whole 1.5 hours playing fetch so having the chairs was awesome!). Potty bags are also available and tick spray :) When our time was almost up I was able to wash the dogs off and dry them with the towels provided by the host. Throughout our hour and a half there, we didn’t see any other animals or people. It was very quiet and secluded so we could really have fun and relax without worrying about anything. I saw some reviews mentioning price- I think this Sniffspot is so so worth the price it is listed as. There are several sections of the property that are set up for guests, they provide towels, water, dog toys, potty dogs, flea spray, a private creek, dog pool, dog wash station, and sooooo much more. I’ve never seen such an awesome Sniffspot for this price and although it’s an hour away from me we will be back very soon!

Great place to swim and have a fun afternoon with your furry friend. We brought a lot of stuff but Tanya actually has everything you need (dog toys, life jackets, blankets, sunscreen...). there is also a tub where you can bathe your puppy before going home. This place is mostly in the shade and easy access to the river. Highly recommended!!!

Very good signage and description from host. Plenty of space, available seating and great water toys for pups and their people. Everything you need is made available by host. We always pack gear but it’s nice to know if we forget something it’s likely provided on site. Thank you for sharing your spot! An amazing time was had by all!! Great bonding time with pups. While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, inattentive owners, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks are much safer than a city or county park. With a Sniffspot off-leash area all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). In order to hike the trails, we require that all dogs have basic vaccinations or equivalent titers. We do not permit dogs with a bite history. We require that guests sign our waiver and agree to follow our safety rules.

Will there be other dogs at the Sniffspot hiking trail at the same time as me?

Sniffspot only allows one booking at a time and any host dogs are required to be kept away from the spot during visits. We also enforce 30 min time buffers between bookings.
