The area was fully fenced, clean, and there were hoses to rinse my pup off after. The owner of this spot was also very responsive and kind. Fortunately, my dog came back out upon his favorite game prompt “come find me” the few times he went in despite effort to stop him from going in. It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks.
