Our property is a dog’s paradise! We have an open backyard, wooded trails, and an orchard out back with tall grasses. We keep the trails and orchard mowed for walking, but your dog will have ample woods, puddles, and other adventures at their disposal! Since we live in the woods, we occasionally have trees fall down on our 5 foot welded wire fence. Please be mindful if your dog is an exit seeker, although we walk the fence and mend any spots we see often. There is a large pole barn visible near the gate where you enter that is our neighbor’s yard. His yard/barn is not visible from the rest of the property once you’re down the path a little ways. For SPRING/SUMMER months, tics and mosquitos are around. We do not spray our land, so make sure you and your pup have the protection you need. In summer mosquitos are often worse near dawn and at dusk, especially in thicker parts of the woods, and less so in the backyard and orchard areas. In the winter, we snowmobile our trails to keep them walkable! There may be slippery spots here and there, so prepare accordingly! Be sure to look ahead at the roads on MN 511 in case of winter weather.

There is a roofed picnic/shade shelter just up the hill from the hydrant. Take in the serene view of the surrounding area, and get a Birdseye view of Opportunity Farm, where sheep graze the nearby paddocks. Awesome spot! Lots of room for large dogs to run, play and sniff. Nice mowed area for dogs to play fetch. They had a lot of toys also- our dog loved playing tug with the jolly ball on the tree. There were a few dogs across the street but could easily avoid that side of the spot/they were far enough away our dogs didn’t mind. Host provided poop bags and had a seating area to use.

Our dog/people/car reactive dog had a wonderful time today. Though cars were visible from inside, the distance is far from the road, and the dog actually enjoyed looking at car/motorcycle passing by (and seems to gain some confidence). There are plenty of spaces for a dog to run and walk around, as well as to sniff. In fact, our dog was running around endlessly. Regardless of some muddiness due to the recent snow melt, we can't wait to visit again for this wonderful spot with sturdy ground!

So awesome! Spot was very clean, had multiple trash cans with bags, plenty of toys, a water bowl, a swimming pool which was our girl’s favorite, and much more. The area is HUGE and so well kept, plus the fence is fantastic! Our reactive, flight-risk pup (who has been known to jump 6-7+ foot fences) was safe and secure and got to run and sniff till she was totally exhausted without any triggers to disrupt her fun. Wonderful spot, will be back again!

This was a perfect spot for me and my dog. She is a husky mix and loves to run and always wants to be on the other side of the fence she’s on. No. Facility rentals are for private play time and any host dogs are required to be kept away from the area during visits, so this is perfect for a private adventure for you and your doggie friends, and perhaps a human friend. Hosts understand that many guests have dogs in training and are nervous owners. So when you book a Sniffspot dog field you have the entire private spot to yourself. We also enforce 30 min time buffers between time slots so you will not run into other guest dogs or a previous person when coming or leaving in the field parking area. Some hosts may have multiple fields, but there is always a buffer between fields.
