55It was absolutely amazing. We live near the city and our dog doesn’t get a chance to roam often so we took him out here as a treat. You’ve made lifelong customers of us. The hostess was so sweet and welcoming, and the property is so gorgeous. The space they have for the dogs is incredibly well taken care of, and they’ve even gone steps further and made fun pathways, rock formations, and thickets for your dog to explore. We have a large dog, and not once did I feel like he would break loose from the fencing, they’ve done an incredible job of securing the property. There’s shade, water for your dogs, and plenty of local wildlife to enjoy. Not to mention the ride out there was serene and incredibly calming. You won’t be sorry, this place has exceeded our expectations and we have the wonderful family that takes care of it to thank! ❤️Jessica G.

55This was our first sniff spot experience and it exceeded all expectations. My dogs were incredibly happy and played hard the entire visit. The toys provided were also a hit. The pond feature is what brought us here and it did not disappoint! I love seeing my dogs happy and this spot had me smiling the whole time. Carrie M.

55This is a great spot! I'll take the host's word for it that it's 2 acres, but it seemed larger than that to me. The spot is mostly a large square, but it has two doglegs at the top. One is a chute leading into the field, which the host opened up so we could drive right in. The other is a wider mowed space that runs back to a polebarn or wall-less shed that provides shade. The rest is knee-high grass with mowed pathways around the perimeter and snaking through. It's gently hilly, with several small and one huge tree. There's a low spot that appears to form a small pond or vernal pool. It's mid-May, so there was only a little water in the depression, but during the winter, I imagine it's quite a bit deeper. Fences looked to be 4-5 feet. It felt secure for our dogs, which are quite large.
Our dogs loved this place. They spent their hour romping and hunting through the tall grass, sniffing around in the soggy area, and lounging under the massive oak tree, catching their breath in its shade. Meanwhile, our kids ran around and enjoyed the many wildflowers. One found a nifty wolf spider.
This Sniffspot is in a rural area, and the acreage is not fully mowed, so some care is needed for your visit. First, you should probably bring water. The host had provided a horse feed-bucket of water, but it wasn't clear how long ago it had been filled, so we were more comfortable providing our own. It was warm, and our dogs went through the better part of a gallon. You'll also need to bring bags; if any were provided, I didn't see them. Now that the grasses are drying, there are tons of foxtails. This means checking your dog carefully after they've played, especially in the mouth, nose, ears, privates, and between the pads. Jeans and good shoes for the humans, so you're not picking the foxtails out of your clothes. If you want to relax while your dogs run, I'd suggest bringing some camp chairs and sitting in the pole barn, for shade.
The host was very nice. She gave me a cute Sniffspot sticker! To gain entry to the fenced field, I parked in front of her house and approached her front door. She came out and directed us to the appropriate place. No animals or people were moving about on the property while our dogs were there, and the neighboring ranchettes are not that close. It felt nicely private.
This Sniffspot is a long drive for us, so it'll be hard for us to make it there early enough to catch the cool hours of the day as summer progresses. But we'll definitely be back during nice weather.Alex B.

55There is so much nice flat space. The area is fenced and private away from any noise or disruptions so it was great for our reactive and anxious pup. Stacey the host greeted us and was great at communicating with us before our arrival and was very friendly. There was water on the property. When we arrived the area was partially mowed so be very cautious of foxtails in the higher grassy areas. We brought our puppy here for a short and sweet visit to pop some balloons and he had a blast. 55The host made sure we had no issues finding the spot, and then greeted us and opened up the gate for us. She was very friendly and helpful! The spot itself was huge and fully fenced. The surrounding yards didn’t really have any other animals in them either. We spent two hours here and by the time we left my dogs were exhausted!! Lots of shade so you aren’t sitting in the heat and your dog has somewhere shady to go too. They offered fresh water and some toys. There are tons of foxtails so be careful and check your dogs when you leave. Overall a really good experience.Kristina A.

55it was a lot of room and different mowed paths for us to walk on. the goatheads and foxtails are no joke but that is expected and it wasnt too bad on the mowed parts- my dogs are just crazy and run everywhere lol. the pond is seasonal so it was all dried up but there were several trees that had cool shade and we layed under one of the trees for awhile. the hosts were SO nice greeting us and petting our puppies. we would definitely come back maybe when its colder outside so its greener and the pond can return lol. overall loved it!!Madison W.

55Wow!
My first Sniffspot and it was amazing. The 2 acres allow my dogs to roam and just be themselves. With a reactive dog, feel at ease that they can play and enjoy the spot around them.
If you’re staying for a little bit, bring a blanket or chair and relax by the tree at the end of the acreage! Shileen A.

55This was our first sniffspot and it was fantastic! Easy to find and host was waiting to open the gate and direct us through. Property was fantastic with a few nice shady spots and mowed paths making it easy to follow pups around. We came early in the morning while weather was still cool. Can occasionally hear dogs bark in the distance but was not a priblem for us. By the time we left both pups were tired and ready for a snack and a nap. Definitely will be returning. K A.

FAQ about our Valley Springs fully fenced dog parks
Are fully fenced dog parks safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, inattentive owners, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks are much safer than public dog parks. Human and animal safety is our #1 focus. Without a private option, many dog owners are relegated to using athletic fields or tennis courts for their dogs, which are not private or safe. All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog. 93% of reviews on Sniffspot visits are 5 stars.
