Occasionally we’ll see wild turkeys and a few deer (and a gopher or squirrel here and there) but otherwise a dog roaming paradise. Easy to pull in and park (near the empty barn) and there are several shady spots around property. I have a dog bowl, some treats and a few balls but also acquiring some more toys. Most visitors find the lawn size ample for running around and throwing a ball a bit, but if you are looking for a field to throw a tennis ball as far as you possibly can with a Chuck-it, the yard is not really the right size and shape for that, sorry! I have a large space that I am sure a dog will love to run in. In the winter, post rain, it can get VERY muddy back there. Years of dogs running around has torn up a lot of the ground cover and it's now just dirt, which becomes mud in the winter. In the summer, the "grass" (more weeds than actual grass) gets very dry. There are some burrs due to the dryness so if your dog has longer fur they might get some attached to them. I do my best to weed the weeds that produce them, but there still might be some. It's a fairly large open space with a longer run on the side. Also, I want to note that in the back of the property the fence is lower, around 4/4.5 feet (the rest of the yard is at least 6 feet), so if your dog is a good jumper, this could be an issue. My pup had an absolutely wonderful time!! He came back spent and happy. The drive there was lovely too, and he saw cows, pigs, deer, horses, and jackrabbits. Antoni's instructions were super clear, and he was very responsive to questions. One thing to keep in mind: lots of tall grasses, so there were some pinchy weeds, and quite a few foxtails (this was after the rain so they haven't dried out yet)- TICKS!! He came back absolutely crawling full of them. Straight into the shower and bedding was washed. Not a big deal and nothing to be done about it- it's a farm!! But just so you're aware for when you go. Enjoy!

Another beautiful day here. Good footing and pretty dry on the hills. Just above the pond was a bit muddy with the continued rain but not bad considering. Always the facilities with water bowls and waste can snd everyone keeps the place spotless. We have never seen/heard other dogs near the property so our dogs just focus on sniffing running playing rolling chasing etc. wonderful place.

As usual it was a gorgeous spot. Watch out for tall grass, and nettles. I lost a couple of balls and I guess my dog is not very good at finding them. We used the smaller fenced area afterwards as it is flat and the grass is soft.

Gorgeous spot! Very private and no other dogs or animals around when we visited. My dog really annoyed wadding in the water pit, eating the tall grasses and walking all over. Wish sniff spot existed when he was younger, he would have run all around this location. But still magical for a senior adventurous dog! Great communication from host. And good tip on wearing your muck boots! (And if need be, there is a pet food express wash station about 15 mins away)

If your dog is reactive to other dogs, you can visit one of our off-leash areas where there are no dogs audible or visible near the space. Make sure to review the amenities of the spot to check features you want for your activity, such as fresh water, trail features such as soft trails or walking trails, or even water fountains. If you prefer wood chips, many of our parks have wood chips or indoor space if you prefer a beautiful park building.

What are the requirements to bring my dog to a Sniffspot fully fenced dog park?

We require that all dogs have basic vaccinations or equivalent titers. We do not permit use by pregnant dogs and we do not permit dogs with a bite history. We require that guests sign our waiver and agree to follow our safety rules, such as staying within the designated off-leash areas. Each park location also has their own set of rules that guests need to follow, such as limiting excessive barking.

Sniffspot only allows one booking at a time and any host dogs are required to be kept away from the spot during visits. We also enforce 30 min time buffers between bookings.
