55We had the best time! Parking was super easy and convenient to the gated entrance. Gates and fencing were all secure and safe to keep my dog in. There was so much space for activities! It was so wonderful to see my dog run around and just be a dog! Lots of leaves and rocks and sticks. Plenty of room for zoomies. If you have a reactive dog, like me, this is a perfect spot. Or really any dog! Heather F.

55My two large dogs LOVE this spot! Plenty of space to run and sniff. For being so close to downtown, while sitting in the provided chairs it was so quiet I could hear a woodpecker! We will return :)Elizabeth C.

55My beagle mix rescue LOVED this spot! It was a perfect amount of space for him to run around, get lots of sniffing in, and chase balls and frisbees. There were other dogs that barked from neighboring yards and/or walked by on the street, which was visible from the spot, but we expected that. It wasn't an issue for my dog, but wanted to let others know just in case. Next time, I'll probably bring some additional water for my dog just to be prepared, since he got tired out and thirsty pretty quick. Overall, great spot and amazing experience for everyone!Dylan K.

55Lovely quiet spot. Big enough for my dog to romp around but also with clear sightlines in the whole place so I didn't have to follow my dog around to make sure he wasn't getting up to trouble. Perfect. We'd love to come back!Elizabeth S.

FAQ about our White House dog parks
Are dog parks good for dogs?
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.
Are dog parks safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog. 98% of reviews on Sniffspot visits in the White House area are 5 stars.
How do I know if a dog park works for my dog?
You can filter Sniffspot dog parks by fencing and distractions. If your dog doesn't have good recall, you can visit one of our 163 fully fenced dog parks in the area. If your dog is reactive to other dogs, you can visit one of our 26 off leash areas where there are no dogs audible or visible nearby. You can also filter locations to avoid other domestic animals and people. We also recommend reading reviews and reaching out to the host with any questions.
