I work at a local shelter and i started this spot to help our shelter dogs who need a break from the shelter, have a place to go enjoy time with their humans besties or dogs who don’t have yards and/or can’t enjoy public dog parks. 2 people per dog max. My backyard dog park is filled with toys, obstacles, and more fun than you’ll find anywhere else. -my neighbors do have dogs but there is a big distance and privacy fence in between my yard and theirs. It hasn’t seem to disturb my guests with their (reactive) dogs much at all yet. She often puts them away if they get too much. Aside from the driveway before you enter, there is no direct barrier to their fence. Dogs are welcome to swim—bring towels and be prepared for some mud if it’s been raining or you have a pond monster doggy. Woods have wonderful smells, my dogs sometimes find delightful things to roll in. A hose is available for use on warm days. At Camp Annabelle, we offer three separate, fully fenced-in areas designed for your dog’s enjoyment and safety. The smaller yard features turf for easy play, while the two larger yards, each about a quarter of an acre, have grass and hay to help prevent muddy paws. Our property is a mix of 2 open pastures, and trails through the woods. There is a smaller totally fenced in area (former goat enclosure) that’s great for working on recall and scent work. We have 2 houses with yards at the address. Simply follow the driveway past the yards to the Spot behind. When you see the white barn, you’re there! Feel free to roam and play. Off leash is fine as long as your friend has good recall. Our dogs have their own fenced yards up at the houses. Our property borders a riding stable on one side, so you may see horses and riders. On the other side of the property is a shooting range (about a mile away) so if your pooch is gun shy be aware you could hear shots.

We have a 2 acre fenced pasture behind the house. The grass may be long, however, will be occasionally cut so shouldn’t be crazy. Your dog and shoes may get muddy after rainy days. Please plan ahead. The fenced area is entered on the right side of the property through swinging gates. Owners of small dogs may want to be careful near the gates as the openings are large enough for small dogs to get through.
