55We loved this sniffspot! It was a great area to play and has a long stretch that is perfect for fetch. There was a clean bowl with fresh water, tennis balls, a chuck-it and dog treats. They even offer comfortable seating and Wi-Fi for their guests. Very friendly & communicative host! Brigette S.

55My dog and I had a great time playing at Bob and Lyn's place. Bob and Lyn were both super sweet and helpful and very nice to my dog. Lyn even cleaned out a bowl to give her water. Their property has a nice, small grass lawn that we mostly played in next to a bunch of raised beds for growing vegetables and a greenhouse for some aquaponic gardening. There was a dog next door who barked at us most of the time. I take my dog to sniff spots because she's reactive and I'm trying to work on her ability to listen when triggered/distracted, so having a dog that was barking actually worked out really well for us. Bob and Lyn's property is a great place to practice recall with minor-moderate distractions. My dog was able to practicing returning when another dog was barking, and when I was out of sight (if she went behind the greenhouse). I definitely plan to take her back. I look forward to talking more with Bob and Lyn who are super interesting, very nice people. :)
This would probably not be a good place for your dog if they get obsessive about other animals or if they like to jump in gardens or destroy flowers etc.Emily B.

FAQ About Bay Point Dog Parks
Are dog parks good for dogs?
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.
Are dog parks safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). How do I know if a dog park works for my dog?
You can filter Sniffspot dog parks by fencing and distractions. If your dog doesn't have good recall, you can visit one of our 320 fully fenced dog parks in the area. If your dog is reactive to other dogs, you can visit one of our 470 off leash areas where there are no dogs audible or visible nearby. You can also filter locations to avoid other domestic animals and people. We also recommend reading reviews and reaching out to the host with any questions.
