1.5 acres for your dog to play in. The west side is open to the road, but has a drop off to slow your dog from going into the road. With that said, still a HUGE area to play in, safely for your pet. If it’s sunny and you would like shade, you are welcome to take a break between the house and shop. The grass area north of the house or by the trees north of the driveway is too close to the neighbors to the north. They are great people and have a dog fenced. He’s a good dog, but I don’t want your dog triggered by him.

Our pup, Major, will be indoors (unless you request a play with him - he's a friendly golden retriever). Private Dog Park on 1+ Acres near Mt. Scott Creek: Just 5 minutes from Clackamas Town Center, our one-acre enclosed field offers open space, rolling hills, and the serene Mt. Scott Creek, which meanders through the property. The creek flows year-round—its levels dip in summer—and there are several spots where pups can wade and cool off on warm days. Please note: the creek is not fenced at both ends. Our field is pesticide-free and treated with all-natural diatomaceous earth in early spring and fall. While the creekside can get a bit muddy during winter, most of the property—especially the upper fields—remains dry year-round. We are a family of 3 with two pups, three cats and two goats! Goats cannot be let out or fed from their fenced in pen, but can be played with by humans on the other side of the fence. They will love that! Our 3 acre property is fully fenced in and boasts open running space, areas to play fetch, a circular tree swing, a hammock, a bamboo “forest,” a basketball hoop (bring your basketball!), a picnic table and chairs under a patio overhang (bring a picnic!) and a little pond. Under our covered patio we also have a little pup resting area set up: an outdoor rug, outdoor pup cot, a stick or two, a ball, a frisbee, and rope toys. We have a couple of water bottles and a clean empty bowl if your pup needs water that you may also use. Also, a trash can for your convenience to put your pups poops in. We ask they you do not enter any structures/buildings on the property for your safety and your pups safety, as well as our privacy. And please close the gate BEFORE letting pups off leash as there is a busy road where cars tend to drive quickly and we just want the pups to be safe. Unfortunately we have found missed messes, so please monitor your doggos. if you forget poop bags, we have extra in the old milk box next to the porch steps -feel free to use any toys you find in the SS! Absolutely no digging is allowed. Please do not allow your dog to dig holes. Private areas: the house including the porch, and wrap around garden. Water is provided* 1- the hose/hydrant near the gate. (Located to the left of the gate as you enter!) 2- green bowl at top of driveway *unless freezing weather Please the area east of the driveway and behind the house and have a good time exploring and playing! There are bunnies, cats and squirrels on the property so we ask that you please restrain your dog for the first 30 seconds or so when entering the property to give those animals a chance to react to the presence of a new animal. Allowing your dog to chase cats or wander up onto the house's porch are not allowed. We appreciate your business and love your dogs, just encourage them to avoid the porch and gardens please. Leave any hose running if found that way (summer). Residents of the home may come and go during your reservation. We are mindful of your space, and we are careful to ensure the gate is kept closed. We will provide you and your best friend ( friends) with two acres of fully fenced property for your dogs to run free! Part of the property is Forest, where your dogs can forage, roam amongst the trees, dig, or just take in all the smells. Our visitors tell us It's the best of both worlds with the woods to roam and open areas to play fetch or practice on some of the agility equipment . Our space is very peaceful and beautiful, with lots of texture. We have a shade (or rain) canopy with a picnic table under it, fresh water, toys, and poop bags. :) I have 3 dogs that roam the upper 2 acres of the property, which is my backyard. Sterling (border collie) Piper (border collie) and our newest member Wriggley ( husky mix) SHE was supposed to be a foster dog, but we fell in love with her... If your dogs roam up to the very edge of the Woods where the 4 acres are divided, you will most likely hear my pups if they are outside. We have placed a privacy material along the fencing so that the dogs will not be able to have any contact, but they will see shadows through the material. My pups may bark and run up and down the fence line as you play in the forest if they hear you. The property adjacent to us is the home of two nice dogs. If our neighbors let them into their back field, there is a chance you and your dog will hear them. If you have aggressive or reactive dogs, PLEASE give me a heads up. Nature in the City is a unique Private Dog Park that is 1 1/2 acres of beautiful natural land with varied landscapes. Step out of the city and into our natural setting that features different areas including 2 grassy fields perfect for fetch w/discs, ropes, or toys, (balls are not best here due to all of the surrounding bushes), a couple of forested areas, several nature trails for hiking adventures, and a wetland-like area with a healthy little creek that’s a hit with the pups. They can wade, cool off, and drink from the natural water. Your dogs will have so many different sniffing and secure off-leash exploring opportunities here! Our spot is so much more than just a fenced field! The area is diverse and so much fun for your dog(s)! This is a great spot to work on recall. There are a couple areas on the trails that are a little steep, there’s a trail where you have to walk over logs 🪵, and the little creek has to be stepped over in places, so people with limited mobility may have issues in these areas of the spot. There are two bridges over the creek, and we will be adding one more bridge at the far west end of the spot soon. There are plenty of spaces and trails that are suitable for all abilities. If you’re looking for a basic fenced field to play chuck-it then this probably isn’t your spot. We are continually working on our property, so every time you visit you will see improvements! We provide a rain/sun shelter with 4 foldable chairs (message us in advance if you need more chairs and we’ll put them out for you), and lots of supplies including dog toys & balls, poop bags, hand sanitizer, natural bug spray, sunscreen, wipes, hand towels, first aid kit, and a cornhole yard game. We also provide snacks and beverages for humans and doggos! Located outside are 2 zero-gravity reclining chairs, a kids size picnic table, a round metal table w/umbrella & 4 metal chairs, and fresh drinking water for your pups. There are open areas with sun ☀️, and there is shade all day due to many large trees. Our property is VERY secure with 5 to 6 ft fencing. We walk the fence line regularly and check to make sure it’s secure. We are located close-in on the Westside of Vancouver one mile from I-5 on 78th Street in West Hazel Dell near Felida. *It gets muddy in areas when it has been wet/raining outside. We have wood chips along trails and in muddy areas which help a lot! Come prepared so you enjoy your visit. **We recently added 6 solar flood lights in the main field area for those of you who visit after dark. They provide subtle light at the entryway, main field, and the shelter for about 4-5 hrs after it gets dark outside. If you you want to explore the trails after dark we recommend putting a collar light on your dog(s), and that you bring headlamps and flashlights 🔦. ***We recently added a small bridge over the middle section of the creek! Welcome to NE Portland Dog Getaway! We provide a luxurious .25 acre backyard. The yard is fully fenced in, and most of the gate is at a height of 6 feet and 3 inches. The entrance gate is 5 feet 1 inch. There is a section in the corner, where the ground goes higher, and the fence sits at 3 feet 6 inches. The other side gate is at 5 feet 10 inches. Additionally, two of the 3 neighbors do have dogs, but only let them out occasionally. If they hear another dog, they usually take them inside.
