55It was a beautiful place to walk and the arrows and maps made it easy not to get lost. Lots of mosquitoes and horseflies so we'll definitely have to be better prepared next time, but this was a short-notice adventure since I just learned about Sniffspot. Will definitely visit again!Kalleila S.

Well marked and maintained trails.. would need longer than an hour to really take your time walking all throughout. Definitely our favourite spot.. my dogs were running around sniffing everything and having a great time. Well marked and maintained trails.. would need longer than an hour to really take your time walking all throughout. 55Thank you! Trails are looking really accessible again, which can’t have been easy after the ice storm damage! I appreciated the insect repellent as O’d forgotten mine but was not swarmed so either it was very effective, or they are past their peak!Kim P.

Maps are posted periodically, and it's easy to navigate. The water was low, so no swimming, but that is weather dependent. Nothing the host can control.
There is bug spray provided in the map cabinet, but I would dress for deerflies. They were aggressive! My Shepherds fared well, but my Greyhounds, with their thin coats, were easy targets, so think of your dog and their needs too.
Tons of room to run, and zoom! Poop receptacle at entrance. Absolutely lovely property, and we will be back again!Lizz W.

Are dog parks good for dogs?
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.
Are dog parks safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). How do I know if a dog park works for my dog?
