55Nice large sandy arena for the dogs to run and play. There were several toys available including a ChuckIt so we could do long distance ball tossing. The surface was soft and easy on their feet. It was early so the temperature was perfect for extended play. There was water in the creek. We did use the small pool that was in the arena. There was a bucket to dispose of my poop bags. Definitely will be visiting again. Erin M.

55Visited for the first time. Loved it and will definitely be back! Huge space to for my dog to run around, chase a ball and frisbee. Little pool to cool the paws. Water to fill bowl. A big tree in the middle
Provides shade. Unfortunately there were a couple of poops left behind from previous visitors but it didn't keep us from being to run and around. The seclusion was very nice! As other reviews noted you can hear the dogs from the boarding center but it did not impact our visit. Jasmine H.

55 We drove 50 miles for this beautiful spot where my dog played, ran and explored and it was worth it 10 times over! Easy to follow entry directions. Both play areas are a dogs dream! Just when you think it couldn’t get any better you can take a quick walk to the creek and experience a whole other sniffing, wading and exploring adventure! We will definitely be back! Terri M.

55Lovely trip as always. Our dogs get so excited the second we turn in now! This is definitely our favorite sniff spot. I do recommend going early if possible because that California heat can make the ground hot for little paws. There are some shaded spots, but the cooler ground makes for more space to roam. Owner leaves some balls and toys out which we super appreciate. Our red heeler is obsessed with the herding ball. There is also a hose and pail for thirsty pups. Very considerate of the owner (many thanks to them)Leanne C.

55Coming here has been on my wish list for almost a year and it did not disappoint! Mojo and I had a great time splashing around in the creek on a hot day. Everything was well marked / easy to find. We will be back.
P.S. Big thanks to the review who suggested bringing water shoes to enjoy the creek — that really amped up the enjoyment factor for me to get in there and play WITH him and enjoy the creek myself, vs sitting on the sidelines.Jennifer M.

55This place was exceptional. Dogs had so much fun and the creek is a nice touch too. Although our time was when the heat was at a high the doggies still managed to have fun. Will definitely be coming back. Thank you so much for sharing your place with us.Jessica L.

55Our third visit here while we’re in the process of selling our house and can’t be home for long periods with our three dogs. Great safe place for our boisterous crew to play.Rachel C.

55Great place for off leash play for our group of three. Fence is secure and in good repair and there’s a big tree that casts a lot of shade until pretty late in the morning. You can hear dogs barking and sheep sounds from the ranch and boarding facilities, and we have caught a glimpse of one of the livestock guardian dogs at a distance, so be aware of that if your dog is more sensitive. 55My favorite sniff spot! Secure fencing, access to a creek and an agility ring. Water and poop bags if needed. I did recently go on a Saturday and apparently there is a gun range nearby and they were shooting a lot. I was worried at first since I have 2 sound sensitive dogs.. fortunately all was good. Still my favorite spot! Feel fortunate they share this with us.Wendy S.

55Absolutely awesome! My dogs had an absolute blast. We drove from LA and it was 1000% worth it. The area is very clean and the agility equipment is a lot of fun. The dogs had fun fetching their ball and taking in the smells. We went down to the creek where the adventure continued.
Instructions to get there are very clear with signs guiding you to both the fenced areas and the creek. Can’t wait for our next visit! Mitzi Z.

55Wow what an incredible property! We brought our Australian Shepherd here and he absolutely loved it. The agility equipment and the creek were big highlights. Lots of large open space to run around and beautiful scenery up against the mountains. Will be back!Ryan S.

55Clear signage helped us find exactly where to turn in, follow the road, and park to find the entrance! Big open spaces for our dog to run and explore. She's a little timid right now but I'm sure she'll warm up and we're looking forward to using some of the equipment available. Overall, it's a great place!Denise W.

55We absolutely love this Sniffspot! It’s hands-down our favorite place to take the dogs. The arena with the agility course is such a hit with them, and the entire property is sooo spacious there’s tons of room to run, sniff, and explore. One of our favorite parts is the creek, which is such a fun adventure for the pups (and honestly, for us too).
The drive up is beautiful and totally worth it we travel about an hour and a half each way and have even booked two weekends in a row. It rained the second time, but we still had a great time because the location is just that peaceful and well-maintained.
My Doberman is reactive and typically doesn’t do well around other dogs or people, but we’ve never had an issue here. It’s private, quiet, and gives us all peace of mind to relax and enjoy ourselves.
As a bonus my husband and I now have a little routine when we go. We stop at Lee’s Coffee (about 10 minutes before getting to the spot), and it’s such a nice way to start the visit. Highly recommend checking it out too!

FAQ About Fillmore Dog Parks
Are dog parks good for dogs?
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.
Are dog parks safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog. 3% of reviews on Sniffspot visits in the Fillmore area are 5 stars.
How do I know if a dog park works for my dog?
You can filter Sniffspot dog parks by fencing and distractions. If your dog doesn't have good recall, you can visit one of our 241 fully fenced dog parks in the area. If your dog is reactive to other dogs, you can visit one of our 307 off leash areas where there are no dogs audible or visible nearby. You can also filter locations to avoid other domestic animals and people. We also recommend reading reviews and reaching out to the host with any questions.
