One of my dogs is a reactive Aussie that’s no longer able to herd his dairy cows so I like to bring him here to use his herding ball on the hilly terrain. He can be a bit vocal when he uses it so it’s nice to have a space where he can be himself with no judgement from neighbors! I’ve never run into other dogs / humans - we did see turkeys once but they were quick to run into the woods. Sometimes I’ll see Omar on my way up the road to the property but he’s very respectful of reactive dog owners and never approaches. You can hear some dogs barking in the far distance but there is water along part of the property so I think it’s just their barks carrying across the water. The large field is great for running, playing ball, endless sniffing, and recal training. There is also a slope/hill the forms up to the center plateau which adds an extra level of exercise for the pup.
Bonus points for Omar who graciously came to my rescue when my totally bald tires spun out in the minimal snow/slush and I got myself stuck. He arrived very quickly and did all the work to push me out of the rut I had made, and apologized to me for my troubles even though it was entirely my own fault!

55Omar’s sniffspot was wonderful , when u walk in your up on a hill which is beautiful. I didn’t see any other people or dogs while there . My dogs loved being able to run up and down the hills , we also used the space to play ball . I’ll definitely be going back ! Dawn K.

My favorite Sniffspot yet! It was so peaceful for my Husky mix rescue, who wandered and sniffed on his 30 foot lead to his hearts content!
Omar, the owner, is an absolutely lovely human. He moved his car so I could drive to the exact spot (which isn’t far, but kind of him nonetheless).
I asked him about wearing orange as it is hunting season, but he owns the land extending into the woods and it is posted also in several places so we felt very safe.
