This was a beautiful, heavily wooded area (which we loved), it just was not very easy to traverse, so be prepared with hiking boots, etc. That didn’t stop our pups who loved the challenge! We weren’t able to find any trails, but perhaps we were in the wrong area. There was tons of land, creeks, and fun things for the pups to enjoy. Communication was great as well! The dogs had an amazing time running, exploring, and sniffing to their heart’s content! This was a beautiful, heavily wooded area (which we loved), it just was not very easy to traverse, so be prepared with hiking boots, etc. That didn’t stop our pups who loved the challenge! My boy, Isak, is dog reactive so it was so nice to be able to peacefully explore the woods without having to be concerned about an exit strategy if we came upon another dog. This spot is wonderfully shaded and has plenty of fun things for your dog to climb on and sniff! The humans should definitely plan to wear closed toe shoes, and if you plan to venture deeper in into the woods, long pants since some of the underbrush is scratchy. We are definitely looking forward to a return visit!

The deck was a lovely place to set up our extra chairs and leave our stuff while we explored- the trash can and bin of extras were a nice touch of convenience.

It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks.
