Season alert: dandelions are blooming which means bees. This is some of the first food for spring bees, so we often leave them. There will likely be a bee visiting the flowers around the yard from spring through summer. Gate to enter on Bull Mountain Rd, on the northwest side of the property. We have a fun cattle gate that slides open. Duck your head and walk on up a wooden boardwalk to the backside of our yard. The fenced in area includes all of the backyard up to the landscaped area next to the house. Feel free to roam and run across the back section. This is stick-topia. A stick for every pup that wants one. Feel free to take one home with you We will compost the dog waste, please just scoop up the poo with the provided shovel and add to the bucket. The outdoor space is available during daylight hours. Indoor space is available as an add-on and recommended for evening visits or during inclement weather. First-time guest? The pastures are cross-fenced, allowing for room to explore but not too far. An indoor riding arena is available as an add-on. It is enclosed on three sides, keeping the wind and weather out during playtime. It is well-lit for evening use. Horses offer additional entertainment but are always a safe distance with a large space (enough to drive a large truck through) between fence lines. The animals are not reactive to the dogs even when barking at them. The farm animals don't respond to the dogs, so often the dogs move on to exploring the space. We have some simple agility items in the space along with balls and other toys to help entertain both you and your dogs. As a guest, you have access to: * Fully Fenced Acre of play space for off-leash adventures * Water - Lift the green handle to start the flow of water * Poop baggies * White garbage can * Dog towels, clean ones in the clear container, and dirty ones go into the grey tote. We ask you to use 1 towel per visit if possible. * Porta Potty * Shelter with chairs and a small table you can put anywhere in the field during your visit we just ask that you put them back when you are done. * During the summer days we include a doggie pool. They are blue kiddie pools. Double them up when you use them so they are easier to empty and less likely to break. Please dump the pool and return it to the corner when you are finished. IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION: This is a field that has uneven ground including mole and gopher holes. Please watch your step. Please keep within the Sniffspot area. If you happen to throw a ball over a fence just message me and I can retrieve it for you. It is important to stay outside of areas marked private property. Those gates also have extra locks, but we want to be sure everyone stays safe. USE OF INDOOR ARENA: During harsh weather (over 95 degrees or winter would be those days of wind and heavy rain) the indoor arena may be an option. We have a private 1.5 acre fully fenced yard, on a dead end street with next to no traffic and no people walking past. The kids are at school, we work from home so the yard goes empty during working hours. We’d love for you and your 4 legged friends to enjoy what we can’t. We have a large open space, many fruit trees, (please feel free to pick an apple or a pear if you’re hungry, likewise with the raspberries, blackberries or figs). We have shrubs around the boarders, a big barn, many different things that your dogs can run around or through until their hearts are content. Our yard is mostly grass with some trees for shade, chairs and a hammock for humans, and plenty of privacy for all. Fences are solid wood, 6 feet tall all around. Our pup, Major, will be indoors (unless you request a play with him - he's a friendly golden retriever). We'll keep the curtains closed for your privacy, but he may sneak a peak to say hi through the window. If you have a reactive dog and would like our dog completely out of sight, message me and I can accommodate that with prior notice. There are neighbors on the side with dogs that your pup may see arriving to the spot. Plenty of parking in front of the house. Private side yard entrance to the right of the house by the garage. Failure to do so will result in being blocked, as this is to keep you, your dogs, and my dogs and babies safe :)! Return the toys and balls to where you found them, to the best of your ability. 5 acres is a lot of ground to cover. Losing a ball or three is no big deal, but deliberately not picking up after yourself is rude. Please leave the place as you found it. Don’t knock on my doors, and do not ask me for my phone number, unless it is an emergency! If there is an emergency I will assist to the best of my ability, and I do offer a pet first aid kit (bleed stop, staple gun, antimicrobrial wound spray, etc). We have 3 separate fields. Black berry bushes are very present in all fields. FIELD 1: Closest to busy road, least suitable for free-roam incase of delivery or neighbor utilizing third gate on easement. I consider this field “the buffer zone”. Best suited for dogs with proper recall skills, or for those who want to hide biodegradable items in the rock piles to be found. Orange flags indicate boundaries with a buffer to prevent trespassing onto neighboring property back into the woods. There are times when I have to leave or enter the property, which I will notify you if this is to happen during your visit. Our three dogs will be heard from this field (from inside of the house). You will find the 2nd gate entrance here, into field 2. Look for the black garbage can, as well as blue kiddy pool to navigate to field 2. FIELD 2: the best field! Our backyard. It is completely fenced in, private, and safe for dogs 15lbs and up- smaller dogs such as our 9lb dog need to wear a device to recall because fencing is large enough for them to escape through. The fencing is approximately 3’ high. Horses can be seen from this field on neighbor’s property, along with their dog, Cooper. It is sloped, which is excellent for exercise! There are trees blocking our house and windows for privacy, easy gate access, and accessible water. There is a nice view of Mt. Hood, and a couple of log benches around the property. I try my best to maintain and refresh a kiddy pool and the water bowl. I strongly recommend against use of field 3 during foggy periods for safety of your pets. Should a dog without proper recall training decide to wander off in field 3, you will have a LOT of ground to cover without much sight distance (on foggy days). Water access is in field 1 by the house, please turn off with hose in “on” position to prevent built-up water pressure in the hose. Field 3: this is an excellent field for dogs with recall skills. Through the first two fields, is field 3, a property long and flat, one which openly borders our neighbor’s property. You must go through the gate at the bottom of field 2 to enter this field. While this field is technically entirely fenced, the entire property is not all ours, so we have marked boundaries using orange flags. Please reference photos for what these orange boundary flags look like. The orange flags indicate hazards along fence line, entrance to bee hives, and boundaries between properties. Close each gate behind you. Cautions: Coyotes frequent this lower field on a weekly basis, so large dogs with proper recall training are advised only. I strongly recommend against use of this field during foggy periods for safety of your pets. Should a dog without proper recall training decide to wander off, you will have a LOT of ground to cover without much sight distance. Also, coyotes tend to be more active during these foggy periods. This field (field 3) is a split property (2 parcels), half ours, half theirs. The neighboring owners have bee hives! Please be mindful of bees, and maintaining general boundaries (see photos of orange flags designating boundary lines). It’s quite rugged, so be mindful of wild animal scat, mole holes, and uneven grass. There is a digging area here too. DO NOT allow your dogs to dig in the mini gardens please! I have seen coyotes, skunks, deer, owls, a feral cat, and bunnies in this field. Horses and neighbor dog cooper are sometimes visible. Please contact me with any questions!

Hello I am Mookie, a Golden Doodle who loves to play ball and my Human is Grace. She got me this place with a long yard, perfect for playing with a chuck it! I begged for a pug and she let me have Frankie. We are happy to share our yards which have different areas for different Dog needs. Human needs can be taken care of too. We are relatively new to Sniffspot and will be adding new features as we go. Our pictures show how much we have changed since we opened the very snowy end of January. Frankie and I will not be coming out to visit your dogs, but once you leave we will enjoy learning about them on our scent hunt. We believe this will create a lot of interest and fun for us and for your special family members too. A little info about my place, I have safe space to unload and load the doggos. Important to close the gate as you enter and exit the property. Everywhere is fenced. It is 2 acres total, the area that you will be playing in is a very nice long field with a small pool which gets changed between guests, and a larger one that My human adds water to between guests. it looks dirty, however, it is from the sand box and dirt hills that my human made for the dogs to play in. It is too large for her to clean after each guest. There is a water hose with a shower head that you can use for play and clean up as well. Added attraction, MOLES and we love sniffing after them. Be watchful of holes that my human missed filling between guests, she tries very hard to find them, but Frankie is a digger! This is a place for fun , everything is not perfect , but the yard is a lot of fun for Frankie and also for me! We love to explore and sometimes we see deer here and other wild animals! UPDATE: All fences are secure. IF for some reason your dog slips out the farm gate entrance to the sniff spot, the entire property is fenced, and your dog will not get out. There is a shade canopy which will protect from the rain and some chairs to relax in. You may encounter holes because dogs love to dig in the soft turf and the hill of dirt, please let me know if you find some that my human and I have not gotten filled between visits and she will fix that! With so many trees, there will be branches down. I find that the dogs love to pick through those sticks. I try to keep on top of the really big ones, but if you see any let my human know. PLEASE NOTE: If your ball or other toys go over the fence, they now belong to my neighbor! PLEASE You must not go over the fence to get them!! I have other balls and will be happy for you to use them while here, if they go over, I can deal with him later! Thank you for your consideration of my neighbors. We have reinforced wooden fencing with chicken wire. Neighbours to left (facing house) have no dog, neighbours to right have a medium sized dog who can be vocal but is rarely outside. We have set up a double barrier so fence fighting can be avoided - we have never had this happen but like to be cautious anyway, and give guests peace of mind. This is in a residential neighbourhood so keep that in mind. A-frame, weave poles, and many agility jumps to create your own agility course map. Also, by the stump and along the fence line with ivy your dogs are welcome to dig in the dirt. Just please do not let pups tear up my grass. Thank you!

We will provide you and your best friend ( friends) with two acres of fully fenced property for your dogs to run free! Part of the property is Forest, where your dogs can forage, roam amongst the trees, dig, or just take in all the smells. Our visitors tell us It's the best of both worlds with the woods to roam and open areas to play fetch or practice on some of the agility equipment . Our space is very peaceful and beautiful, with lots of texture. We have a shade (or rain) canopy with a picnic table under it, fresh water, toys, and poop bags. :) I have 3 dogs that roam the upper 2 acres of the property, which is my backyard. Sterling (border collie) Piper (border collie) and our newest member Wriggley ( husky mix) SHE was supposed to be a foster dog, but we fell in love with her... If your dogs roam up to the very edge of the Woods where the 4 acres are divided, you will most likely hear my pups if they are outside. We have placed a privacy material along the fencing so that the dogs will not be able to have any contact, but they will see shadows through the material. My pups may bark and run up and down the fence line as you play in the forest if they hear you. The property adjacent to us is the home of two nice dogs. If our neighbors let them into their back field, there is a chance you and your dog will hear them. If you have aggressive or reactive dogs, PLEASE give me a heads up.
