Top Public & Private Dog Parks in Okotoks, AB

If there was an option for 4.5 stars, I might have chosen that only for the fact that there were some dogs barking near one corner of the sniffspot, and my dog is reactive with dogs she doesn’t know. I couldn’t see them, and I don’t know if she could, but she got pretty worked up about them so I needed to put her on her long line and then she was fine. It also gave us an opportunity to do some training around her reactivity - and that is a good thing, albeit not exactly what I had initially taken her there for. But I didn’t want to go as low as 4 stars either… because the fencing was secure, the signage was great, the host was gracious and quick to reply to a message, the opportunities for sniffing interesting things under and around all the trees was fabulous, and there was lots of room to throw the frisbee for my parents’ dog who was there with us. He was fine to remain offleash, and he really seemed to enjoy it there. All in all, it’s a great place.

Ruger found another ball on tonight's visit. We left it by the rocks near the gate. Luna enjoyed rolling in the grass and running around. Be sure to put on your bug spray and dog bug spray for the pups! The skeeters are fierce after all the rain!

This is my fave park we have discovered on sniff spot :) Clearly marked signs, accurate description, trash cans, and a really beautiful area (got some really cute photos of my dog with the canola field background). We will absolutely be back!

Very beautiful spot and easy access. Fencing is fantastic. Lots of spots to sniff and trees to explore. We'll be back!

First time here today and it is absolutely amazing!!! Fencing is very secure. Love being able to drive right in. There is a nice picnic table, garbage cans, poop bags, rocks, trees…. Everything we could need and more!! And it sure does help being smack dab in the middle of two beautiful canola fields, which I love in July!!! We will be back for sure!

Great new sniff spot for our beagles. Nice shade and lots to explore and sniff with space to run. Thanks for sharing your land ! Bring water and bowls, poop bags in the mailbox. Fencing is great and beagle proof, small dog could maybe get under a couple spots but secure for sure.

Wonderful place!! Very clean, safe and secure for my pups!! Thank you so much, we will be back lots! Next time we will remember the bug spray though. I may have lost 10 pints in an hour. lol

Awesome!!! Our first visit using sniff spot and it was perfect! Easy to find, well laid out, perfectly well appointed with everything you would need to enjoy some outside time with two rambunctious Newfoundland puppies. Can't rate it high enough!

We had so much fun! There's lots of shade throughout the property and I loved driving into the gate and just letting him run free.

Very understanding and communicated faster than expected to questions. We love this place and will keep going when we get time with our dogs. Only note for future pet parents if you have really small dogs they may be able to fit through the fence or under and under the front gate

Great place! Very easy to find with signs at the front of the property and gate. Super clean - only a couple spots where people didn’t pick up after their pet, nice garbage cans, and mowed grass. The fence was high quality as well, so none of my dogs tried to challenge it. The place is big enough that my 3 dogs had loads of space to run, play, and explore for an hour - but still small enough so that you can keep track of your dogs the whole time. Really great place! Will definitely be back!

This was a nice spot and my dogs enjoyed the open field. There is a picnic table in the shade to rest and get out of the sun if needed. It was easy to find (once I put the right address in gps). There was a Sniffspot sign to welcome us as well. We will return when we visit the city again.

another great visit! Our GSPs are so happy to go to this spot. Our older GSP, who is usually pretty sedentary, keeps on the move here. She ❤️ to explore here!

Lovely local spot! Lots of room for our pup to run! Little picnic bench too. Loved being able to offer our pup a private place to run, while also having an open space for our toddler to roam without other dogs coming up to her.

Absolutely loved it. Perfect for me as a nervous, first time dog owner. Very secure and the picnic table under the trees is great. We brought drinks and sat and let Betty sniff away. We‘ll be back for sure.

Host was lovely and helpful. He took the time to show me how to close the gate and where I could find some poop bags if necessary. My girls loved running around.

Love this park, so close to Okotoks. Lovely spot to get out of the sun for you and your dog.

Great spot! The owner let us know that you can drive right in and close the gate behind you so your pup can jump right out!

another great day! I see new signage and the park looks great! Dogs enjoyed themselves there. Ruger found a ball in the field..but as he loves to do..pushed it through the fence on the east side and I could not reach it!

Really nice spot even my es cape artists who kept trying couldn’t escape so it’s definitely secure. I also love how I can drive my car in to let them out
