55For my reactive dog and myself, this was a wonderful area. Horse property all around this area. Huge pond, quiet area. I could even walk my dog down the wide street with no dogs, cars or people coming by. Worth the trip if you live in the city or no big yard, etc. There were some weeds but my dog is used to them and didn't bother me. The best was the fenced tennis court. Photo shows how big it is, we are way in the back. My dog has not been off leash for months. She ran and ran and was so tired at home shed sit up and flop back down to sleep the rest of the day. For me, it is worth the trip even for the tennis court freedom but also huge area with lots of sniffing opportunities everywhere. We loved the field.joyce N.

Cristal's 3 Acre Partially Fenced Private Dog Park In Oswego | Sniffspot
55Loved this place! Property is beautiful, and the host was very kind—as soon as I showed up, she came out to say hello to my pups and I, and showed us around a little. The property backs up to a forest preserve if you want to take your dogs on a longer walk, too! If your dog has high prey drive, the property is large enough that you can play without seeing the chickens. The fencing runs the length of either side of the property and is very secure, and the yard’s big enough that I felt comfortable letting my dogs off leash even though the front and back aren’t fenced. There are nice woodsy trails on the back of the property for exploring, as well as spaces that are wide enough to play a solid game of fetch. It was a bit muddy in places, like any other wooded area, so bring a towel if that’s a concern. This spot is an hour away from me, but I will happily be making the drive to visit again! Claire B.

FAQ About Oswego Dog Parks
Are dog parks good for dogs?
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.
Are dog parks safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog. 8% of reviews on Sniffspot visits in the Oswego area are 5 stars.
How do I know if a dog park works for my dog?
You can filter Sniffspot dog parks by fencing and distractions. If your dog doesn't have good recall, you can visit one of our 476 fully fenced dog parks in the area. If your dog is reactive to other dogs, you can visit one of our 709 off leash areas where there are no dogs audible or visible nearby. You can also filter locations to avoid other domestic animals and people. We also recommend reading reviews and reaching out to the host with any questions.
