I work at a local shelter and i started this spot to help our shelter dogs who need a break from the shelter, have a place to go enjoy time with their humans besties or dogs who don’t have yards and/or can’t enjoy public dog parks. 2 people per dog max. My backyard dog park is filled with toys, obstacles, and more fun than you’ll find anywhere else. -my neighbors do have dogs but there is a big distance and privacy fence in between my yard and theirs. It hasn’t seem to disturb my guests with their (reactive) dogs much at all yet. She often puts them away if they get too much. Aside from the driveway before you enter, there is no direct barrier to their fence. At Camp Annabelle, we offer three separate, fully fenced-in areas designed for your dog’s enjoyment and safety. The smaller yard features turf for easy play, while the two larger yards, each about a quarter of an acre, have grass and hay to help prevent muddy paws. All yards are enclosed by a privacy fence to ensure a calm and secure environment. We provide a variety of toys like balls, chuck-its, flirt poles, and tug toys to keep your dog entertained, along with training equipment such as place beds, long lines, FitPaws equipment, and targets for any training needs. A kiddie pool is available on warm days, and a hose is on-site for filling water bowls or the pool. Please remember to clean up after your dog—pooper scoopers and trash cans are provided. (Please request equipment when booking your spot.) For the humans, we offer WiFi, chairs, a trash can, and a fire pit in yard number 2 (with firewood and kindling available around the yard). Welcome to our spot, the perfect place for your friend to enjoy some off-leash time in a safe and controlled environment. We understand that some dogs may be reactive or require a bit more space, and we are happy to accommodate their needs. Our location offers plenty of room for your dog to explore and play without the worry of unexpected encounters being in the yard. Our immediate neighbors on the southern property line now have dogs, and you may occasionally see or hear them during your visit but seems to be a rare instance that they come to the fence line. A kiddie pool is available in the summer, but I will need to be notified in advance on whether or not you would like it filled. Two humans per dog are allowed unless arrangements are made with me in advance. Please note that the yard may be wet or muddy after rain or snow. Additionally, mole holes might be present in some areas (providing extra sniffing opportunities!) 😜 Additionally, our spot is conveniently located right by the B&O Trail, making it easy for you to warm up or cool down your visit with a walk.
