55This spot is GORGEOUS! Highly recommend going down to the creek, it was great especially on a hot day. The trail is steeper than I was expecting but the ropes were handy. If you or your dog have physical limitations I would avoid the creek access. Otherwise 10/10, will definitely visit again! Alisha E.

The directions to get there were very clear and helpful, and hiking boots were a good idea - the trail was a bit steep but only a few minutes to get from the parking spot to the water. We are pretty new to Oregon so maybe I am "overstating" this if you're used to the trees and waterfalls of the PNW - but to us, this spot was STUNNING! This was our first time bringing our dog anywhere to try and swim and he absolutely LOVED it, the water was just deep enough for him to paddle around but not big enough to make us nervous. We waded around in the water and relaxed, it was so peaceful and quiet. The directions to get there were very clear and helpful, and hiking boots were a good idea - the trail was a bit steep but only a few minutes to get from the parking spot to the water. Our dog is still very young and not trustworthy off-leash yet, so a 30 foot leash came in handy here. We will ABSOLUTELY be back!

55Could not recommend this place more!! 10/10 will absolutely be coming again. We have 2 large dogs and they did the trail down to the water without any issues, some have said it’s rough to get down, we didn’t have any problems. There’s a lovely deck that looks newer that offers a beautiful view of the waterfalls, stunning. We loved it so much we extended our time almost immediately.

Could not recommend this place more!! 10/10 will absolutely be coming again. We have 2 large dogs and they did the trail down to the water without any issues, some have said it’s rough to get down, we didn’t have any problems. He thought it was perfect!!!

The host was very responsive and attentive. It was gorgeous and quiet and just fascinating seeing an environment that is recovering post-wildfire. As is stated in the description, I would strongly recommend a good, reliable recall if you and your dog want to take full advantage of the space. You could leash your dog in the open meadow area and on the roads and some of the trails, but it’s a forest recovering from a wildfire so of course natural hazards like branches and logs and loose dirt and rocks are to be expected. Are dog parks good for dogs?
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.
Are dog parks safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers).
