I’m a huge dog lover and avid sniff spot user, so our priority in buying this home was to have a large, open, and secure backyard that my Doberman and Heeler mix could run comfortably in. Since I relied on this app (almost daily) when I didn’t have my own yard, it’s also important for me to keep the cost down so the space is more accessible for folks to come with their pups more often. Park in front of the fence with the sign, and it’ll lead to another gate and then the yard. There’s sitting areas, toys, water, poop bags, and all the other things you’ll need. We even have a cute tree house for a sweet photo op with your pups! We hope you and your dogs enjoy the space as much as we do!

The Not So Boring Bark Park

Tucked back off the road is a not so boring field and little wooded area with a creek running through. We saw the magic in it when we bought it in 2024 and decided we wanted to share it with others in 2025. We hope you love it as much as we do 🐶❤️

The Boring Barking Lot - Dog Park

PLEASE READ: Hi! My name is Theresa. I recently started my sniffspot and love sharing my property with you and your doggos to enjoy. We will provide you and your best friend ( friends) with two acres of fully fenced property for your dogs to run free! Part of the property is Forest, where your dogs can forage, roam amongst the trees, dig, or just take in all the smells. Our visitors tell us It's the best of both worlds with the woods to roam and open areas to play fetch or practice on some of the agility equipment . Our space is very peaceful and beautiful, with lots of texture. We have a shade (or rain) canopy with a picnic table under it, fresh water, toys, and poop bags. :) I have 3 dogs that roam the upper 2 acres of the property, which is my backyard. Sterling (border collie) Piper (border collie) and our newest member Wriggley ( husky mix) SHE was supposed to be a foster dog, but we fell in love with her... If your dogs roam up to the very edge of the Woods where the 4 acres are divided, you will most likely hear my pups if they are outside. We have placed a privacy material along the fencing so that the dogs will not be able to have any contact, but they will see shadows through the material. My pups may bark and run up and down the fence line as you play in the forest if they hear you. The property adjacent to us is the home of two nice dogs. If our neighbors let them into their back field, there is a chance you and your dog will hear them. If you have aggressive or reactive dogs, PLEASE give me a heads up. Let your dogs play then enjoy your own activities nearby. Our area is busy and parking is tricky. Please let us know ahead of time if you need dedicated parking for mobility concerns. We will try to be sure a spot is clear for you. You can park in the driveway or in the grass. Big trucks come through the alley so staying off the alley pavement is necessary.

Tryon Creek Oasis

Hello! Our yard is located across from the entrance to Tryon Creek State Park on Terwilliger. This is the address provided since it’s the easiest way to access our spot. Park on Terwilliger just south of the entrance past the bus stop, and walk across the street. You’ll see our Sniffspot sign behind a line of boulders in front of our chain link fence (see photos). Please use caution when crossing the street, walking uphill, and stepping between the large boulders. **Tryon Creek is quiet on weekdays but can get busy at random times on the weekend. If you should have any issue finding a parking spot, please reach out and I’ll offer you a spot in our driveway. It’s a bit more of a drive since it’s tucked away but available to you if needed. ** Once inside, you’ll be on our lower yard. Walk uphill and you’ll have more flat space in our upper yard. Our space is hilly and pretty rugged so appropriate shoes are recommended. You’re welcome to use the lower deck with the two chairs, side table, and umbrella. We have a doggie pool set up and a sprinkler available. Other amenities like tennis balls, toys, dog treats, human treats, etc. are also provided. Please note: the creek is not fenced at both ends. Our field is pesticide-free and treated with organic diatomaceous earth in early spring and late fall to sanitize and keep it free of pests. This is a 2 acre wooded loop on Mt Scott. Our property bumps up against the Wahoo nature reserve is very private, shaded by large trees and well maintained. Our dog loves the woods and creek. We decided to open it to the community so other dogs and their families can enjoy it.

Contact me privately to obtain your booking code. ** Our SS is a fairly wide-open space where your dogs can run and play. We have a variety of shady spots and trees as well. There are various plants and some amazing (HELP YOURSELF) blackberries July-August. Please never bring any unvaccinated dog to our SS. (We regularly rescue abandoned puppies which are available for adoption.) Please monitor your dogs and clean up any messes, as we seem to find them after guests have been busy on their cellphones. Extra waste bags are available in the old milk box next to the porch steps. FEEL FREE to: -use any toys you find in the SS! -fill/empty kiddie pool to your liking -throw away damaged balls -contact us with suggestions or feedback Absolutely no digging is allowed. Please do not allow your dog to dig holes. Private areas: the house including the porch, and wrap around garden. Water is provided unless freezing temps are expected 1- PLEASE USE SPIGOT TO RIGHT OF GATE NEXT TO HOSE BOX. IF not working properly, blue yard hydrant handle or a line may not be open. It should always be open in summer months. Please the area east of the driveway and behind the house and have a good time exploring and playing! There are bunnies, cats and squirrels on the property so we ask that you please restrain your dog on arrival, for the first 30 seconds or so when entering the property to give those animals a chance to react to the presence of a new animal. The Ritz Carlton(Porta Potty)for humans with sanitizer, lime dispenser to process waste and illuminate order. A large mowed areas to throw a ball or Frisbee. Golf Frisbee catchers, with an assortment of putty. Mid range and long range frisbees. A Water World play area that includes a man made pond. The pond is fed by The Mud Creek, which accumulates and then passes through to continue for miles. The pond has an easy access area in with a slope into the water for young and senior pups. A small water craft selection, which includes a John boat, two varieties of kayaks and a paddle boat .. A selection of different size life Jackets for pups and humans. A bulletin board with a sample display of a Blue Green Algae test kit that can be purchased on Amazon. An area next to it where guests who do the tests can post the day, time and results for other pup owners to see. An array of pup towels to dry off dry off with and a “Solar Powered Drying line to hang them on. There are multiple large shaded sitting areas to relax, take a breath and simply enjoy the piece and serenity of this magical little hidden valley. A 10’x 10’ sand filled “Pup Dig Box” for those pups who just have a need to dig. A “Tug of War”spring loaded grab bar for pups who just like a really good tug of war. Multiple pup fresh water dispensers, with bowls for them. Multiple Doggie Poop Depots with poop bag dispensers for your convenience, no need to carry that around while you explore the 15 acres. We want to give you an easy opportunity to pick up and deposit your pups 🐶 poop. (Fair Warning.. very low tolerance for a guest who does not pick up after their pup) The Grand National little, kinda professional Obstacle Course with most of the obstacles course pieces seen on U-Tube. Good place to go learn how to train your pup to effectively use this course. If it’s at all possible the time sent learning this course and getting through it can bring you even closer together. There are multiple Toy stations with a large variety of toys to select from (Please be considerate for the next guest, return them back to the station after use). And if you have unused toys, please consider donating them for other pups to enjoy and let us know when you do so we can put your name into our drawing. The winner will get a choice of things that we will offer. This year and next we have a number of things that we will develop to add to what makes us a Dog Disney Land. A Dock Diving Ramp, A Glamp Site, The Done Bone Cafe, an urban obstacle course and play activities for humans. Continued development of additional loop Jurassic trails off of Jurassic main trail two (2). Anyone wishing to volunteer their time in the development of these additions are welcomed. They are welcome to bring their pup and any other family members to play at the park while we work.

Sauvie Island Farm #2 Shady Acres

This is our second spot. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU GO TO THE RIGHT SPOT. Sauvie Island Farm #2 ‘shady acres’ is a fully fenced area in the back of our farm, cool and shady for these summer days. Plenty of sniffs, eagles, rabbits, deer, and other wildlife. Great views. Private. Some farm machinery and active farm fields will be visible. It is accessed by driving through the main gate to the house, and then following the signs slowly to the back pasture. It does not require 4WD. Hiking shoes or hiking boots are best here. Let us know if you have any trouble.

Nature in the City Private Dog Park

Nature in the City is a unique Private Dog Park that is 1 1/2 acres of beautiful natural land with varied landscapes. Step out of the city and into our nature park-like setting that features different areas including 2 grassy fields perfect for fetch w/discs, ropes, or toys, (balls are not best here due to all of the surrounding bushes), a couple of forested areas, several nature trails for hiking adventures, and a wetland-like area with a healthy little creek that’s a hit with the pups. They can wade, cool off, and drink from the natural water. Your dogs will have so many different sniffing and secure off-leash exploring opportunities here! Our spot is so much more than just a fenced field! The area is diverse and so much fun for your dog(s)! This is a great spot to work on recall. There are a couple areas on some of the trails that are a little steep, so people with limited mobility may have issues in these areas of the spot. There are plenty of spaces and trails that are suitable for all abilities. There are three small bridges over the creek, (located at the East end, middle, and West end). If you’re looking for a basic fenced field to play chuck-it then this probably isn’t your spot. We are continually working on our property, so every time you visit you will see improvements! We provide a rain/sun shelter with 4 foldable chairs (message us in advance if you need more chairs and we’ll put them out for you), and lots of supplies including dog toys & balls, poop bags, hand sanitizer, natural bug spray, sunscreen, wipes, hand towels, first aid kit, and a cornhole yard game. We also provide snacks and beverages for humans and doggos! Located outside are 2 zero-gravity reclining chairs, a kids size picnic table, a round metal outdoor table w/umbrella & 4 metal chairs, and fresh drinking water for your pups. There are open areas with sun ☀️, and there is shade all day due to many large trees. Our property is VERY secure with 5 to 6 ft fencing. We walk the fence line regularly and check to make sure it’s secure. We are located close-in on the Westside of Vancouver one mile from I-5 on 78th Street in West Hazel Dell near Felida. *It gets muddy in areas when it has been wet/raining outside. We have wood chips along trails and in muddy areas which help a lot! Come prepared so you enjoy your visit. **We have night lighting! There’s 6 solar flood lights in the main field area for those of you who want/need to visit after dark. They provide subtle light at the entryway, main field, and the shelter for about 4-5 hrs after it gets dark outside. If you want to explore the trails after dark we recommend putting a collar light on your dog(s), and that you bring headlamps and flashlights 🔦. ***Seasonal Alert 🚨- It’s baby bunny 🐰 season March-September. They usually hide pretty well, but if your dog finds a bunny nest please cover it back up, and if a baby wanders out please put it back and redirect your dog(s). Baby bunnies have no scent to protect them from predators so even the best sniffers won’t smell the nests/bunnies. They would only notice the babies if they see them. Our yard is mostly grass with some trees for shade, chairs and a hammock for humans, and plenty of privacy for all. Fences are solid wood, 6 feet tall all around. Our pup, Major, will be indoors (unless you request a play with him - he's a friendly golden retriever). We'll keep the curtains closed for your privacy, but he may sneak a peak to say hi through the window. If you have a reactive dog and would like our dog completely out of sight, message me and I can accommodate that with prior notice. There are neighbors on the side with dogs that your pup may see arriving to the spot. Plenty of parking in front of the house. Private side yard entrance to the right of the house by the garage. Please use what you see available - pooper scooper and dog bags on the patio, toys throughout the yard, towels, hose and water station for pups, garbage bin on your way out at the side of the house.
