I started working with animals when I was 9. I grew up working with horses and volunteered at a zoo. I went to college in CA and graduated the Exotic Animal Training and Management program which gave me incredible opportunities to work with a variety of species. I worked with wildlife for 8 years and transitioned to dog training because I loved helping people.
I have owned a boarding kennel, performed with my trick dogs for 12 years, done commercial and movie work with my dogs, been on Animal Planet, David Letterman, and a variety of news programs. I moved to Hawaii 10 years ago and have continued to build my consulting and training business here.

I provide in home and group classes, as well as board and train in my home. The majority of my business is behavior modification for aggression, reactivity, fear, and anxiety. I also offer basic manners (sit, down, come, leash walking, etc) and behavior problem solving (jumping, chewing, house training, etc)in private and group settings. My in home board and trains are geared towards helping build foundations for a well mannered family dog.

Behavioral issue focus:

I work with dog to human and dog to dog aggression, leash reactivity, anxiety, fear, housetraining, jumping, chewing, nipping, and some separation anxiety.

Dog training methods:

I have been training 30 years and follow progressive, modern, positive training. I take a well rounded approach that looks at all the pieces of the puzzle, especially the dog and their emotional well being. I believe relationship and trust is a key component to working with dogs and my clients. I offer family friendly training that the dog and family will enjoy.

Why I became a dog trainer:

I love training and watching the moment an animal gets it. And then I fell in love with helping people understand their dogs better. I love helping people have positive amd fulfilled relationships with their dogs.

Helping people and the dogs they love. I love teaching people how to listen to their dog and communicate in a positive way.

My #1 dog training tip:

Have realistic expectations. No one is perfect. Remember your dog is a living, breathing being. Be fair of what you expect.
