My journey to where I am now has not been a short one. While my love for animals and behavior has always been interweaved throughout my life, I started out on a different career path than I am today. After graduating from Purdue University with a B.S. in Engineering and a B.S. in Health & Human Sciences, I spent six years working at a consulting firm as a business and technology integration consultant. However, I left that behind to find a career that combined my love of science, helping others, and animals. I am so grateful to have found a career that does just that.
As a professional dog trainer, I take education very seriously. I am graduate of the Victoria Stilwell Academy for Dog Trainers (online) as well as a Do More With Your Dog Certified Trick Dog Instructor, Fear Free Certified Professional Trainer, and Family Dog Mediator. I strive to be a lifelong learner so that I can always bring the best to my clients.
I am also a proud dog parent of two small dogs that have struggled with reactive behavior, fear-based aggression, handling issues at home and at the vet, and other behaviors that are often misunderstood. I have been where you are and can relate to the hardships that come along with it. My goal is to help you discover the joy in training, deepen the bond between you and your dog, and engineer some optimism throughout your journey.

More info about Mallory Kratimenos's dog training:
I offer virtual online group classes for trick titles through Do More With Your Dog and a small dog class that focuses on empowering your small dog to be confident in a world larger than they are. I also provide private 1-on-1 virtual training for manners, reactivity, cooperative care, behavior modification, and more.
Behavioral issue focus:
I commonly work with reactivity, sound sensitivity, excessive barking, cooperative care, loose leash walking, and more.
Dog training methods:
All private clients start with an initial consultation where I gather information about the dog including pertinent history (lifestyle, medical, behavioral, etc.) along with information about the family's lifestyle. From there I form a training plan that incorporates education, management, enrichment, and training that is suited to each individual's lifestyle to ensure sustainability. Each session after the initial consultation, we discuss progress, do any problem solving related to current training activities, go over any new training activities, and practice together live. Clients are encouraged to send videos and are able to contact me via WhatsApp between sessions.
In regards to training methods, I use positive reinforcement to teach alternate behaviors or reward behaviors client's like. We typically redirect or manage behaviors the clients find undesirable until we have built a strong reinforcement history for alternate behaviors. I also always ensure to address any potential underlying medical issues via referral to a vet or vet behaviorist. In addition, enrichment is always the first thing we implement to ensure behaviors aren't related to an unmet need. The training plans are all highly individual and strongly depend upon the dog and person.
Why I became a dog trainer:
I am a proud dog parent of two small dogs that have struggled with reactive behavior, fear-based aggression, handling issues at home and at the vet, and other behaviors that are often misunderstood. After some less than desirable experiences with a dog trainer, I set out to learn as much as I could so I could do better. After graduating from Purdue with two Bachelor's degrees, I worked in consulting for 6 years but always felt in my gut that it was not what I was meant to do. Dog behavior and training had been a side passion and hobby for over a decade. After building up courage,I finally left my career and started training professionally. This career truly combines my love for science, animals, and service to others.
My favorite part of being a dog trainer:
I love watching people and their dogs grow together! There is nothing more special than watching that bond, mutual understanding, and love blossom in front of your eyes.
My #1 dog training tip:
Individual problems require individual solutions. You can find generic advice on the internet, but the advice you find may not be the best suited for you and your dog. So when in doubt, seek out the help of a qualified professional dog trainer or behavior consultant.

David Adams is a man of many passions, but his love for dogs stands above all. He is not only a dog lover, but also the founder of an innovative platform called Sniffspot. This unique platform connects dog owners with private property owners who are willing to rent out their space for off-leash playtime. While the idea of Sniffspot was initially conceived by his wife, Rebecca, David has been the driving force behind its remarkable success, tirelessly overseeing its growth and development.
David's dedication to providing safe and enjoyable spaces for dogs to play, explore, and socialize is evident in his unwavering commitment to Sniffspot. He strongly believes that dogs need ample space and opportunities to stretch their legs and have fun. As a result, he has worked tirelessly to build a network of private property owners across the country who share his vision and are willing to offer their space for the benefit of dogs and their owners.
Despite his busy schedule, David always finds time to indulge in his passion for the great outdoors. He loves nothing more than exploring new hiking trails and embarking on thrilling outdoor adventures. Whenever he is not working on Sniffspot, he can often be found hiking or visiting multi-acre fenced sniffspots with his two beloved dogs, Soba and Toshii.
