  • I'm a 10yr old gal with gimpy senior parents. Sniffing is my favorite thing to do!

    Linda S.

  • I am just a baby still and I love to explore gardens and neighborhoods but I get scared easily from loud noises and unexpected sounds. I am curious of strangers but am also very cautious in my approach. If I like them, I will approach them and smell them. I am really curious about other dogs, but sometimes I don't realize my own strength and how easily I can overpower and dominate smaller dogs. Dogs that are confident and of equal or larger size are dogs that I can get along with. Dogs that are smaller than me usually feel intimidated and when they bark - it makes me feel afraid. I just want to be friends with them and I just don't know how to make this possible yet. My humans are trying to socialize me and train me by working with a personal trainer but this will take some time for me to learn what they are asking of me. I was discovered in Stockton California before being transported to the Humane Society of Santa Rosa in Sonoma County. I was only there for a week before I was adopted by a new loving family. I am still being potty trained as sometimes I do not know and where I am to go use the potty. My owners take me out several times a day but my trainer says that we need to take it one step out at a time and slowly introduce me to the world outside by limiting my interactions with other humans and other dogs at least until I am able to build my confidence and learn my commands from my owners. I am loving, I am goofy, and I am incredibly sweet. I have the type of face that everyone wants to compliment and that makes me feel good at times but I am still unsure about strangers so sometimes I may shut down or I just submit because I don't know what else to do. I need wide open spaces to run in to get my energy out as I am a puppy after all. Pups are gonna pup and I love to run fast and I will chase after birds and squirrels unless my owner calls me back. Sometimes I like to mount other dogs for fun, and they may not like it, especially if they are smaller than me. I don't like aggressive dogs that bark at me but I understand that they are also afraid and that's why they treat me that way. I just to be free and run around without the fear of getting run over by a vehicle or getting into a fight with another dog as it is not my intention to hurt anyone. I listen and follow instructions well. My owners are able to call me back and tell me when to stop and sit or to slow down and be at their side. I sleep in the bed with them at night if my owners allow me to, otherwise, I sleep in my doggy bed beside my owners bed at night. I often experience separation anxiety when my owners have to leave for work. I bark when I feel afraid when I hear strange noises outside like when the Amazon delivery is being dropped off. I whimper when I am sad and when I miss my mommy and daddy that adopted me. I just want to be the best dog in the world. The world looks at me and thinks I am a bad dog by nature because of my breed but I don't know what they are talking about because I am genuinely a sweet dog.

    Vinh N.

  • I love to explore and be free. As much as I love my new home and daddy(he rescued me from a bad place) I was used to exploring the woods all day. I am very well behaved and have so much energy. We go in so many adventures every day, but that leash holds me back. I was never spayed so I’m not allowed to meet or play at parks or daycare. I’m a Great Dane and Catahoula mix(you don’t have this on the list)

    shane j.

  • Hello! I am Gracie! I love food and playing! I am a very good girl and have great training under my collar!

  • I love to play and run! I love playing with my ball. I love to run and want to get better at swimming. I have lots of energy for mom snd dad to burn

    Lisa C.

  • She’s a working dog. Likes obstacle course challenges. Currently in obedience training. She loves to swim and retrieve bumpers, balls, and frisbees.

    Kim H.

  • Hi! I’m Gracie Girl, sometimes it’s Grace Grace or CiCi but it’s all the same to me, depends on my mom’s mood! I love being outside so much, almost as much as I love sleeping. I love playing with other dogs and watching them play. I love swimming and I get to go the the river pretty often because my mom likes it, too. I love getting brushed, snuggling and wrestling with my brother and sister dogs! I’m so big and my bark is so deep that sometimes people are unsure about me but as soon as they meet me, they see what a softie mush of hugs and kisses I am!!

    Christy W.

  • Hello my name is Gracie and I’m a Beagle. Beagles rule and I’m the Queen Bee in my family. I control all things especially my sister GG.

    Nancy B.

  • The sweetest girl but a general menace to society. Listens only when it's convienient for her lol

    Jenn F.

  • She is a borador (lab-collie mix) and very sweet but very rambunctious. She loves her brother Podo (and her cat-brother Libre) and can be protective of family, but otherwise she is a good listener and a quick learner.

    David M.

  • I am very goofy and can get nervous around new people and dogs...once I warm up I love everyone! I love treats and running behind my sister....

    Margaret Ann R.

  • I'm almost 7 months old and I'm huge! I love to do whatever my big sisters do! I want to RUN!!

    Robert W.

  • I'm a sweet six year old lab mix who will do anything for a treat or a belly rub. I loooove people, but other dogs annoy me 🐾

    Sarah P.

  • Hi! I’m a 10 year old border collie and I just love buh byes in the car and going to fun new places like parks, trails, rivers, lakes, and restaurants where my family gets me treats. I love frisbee, splashing in the water, playing tug of war, and just wandering around with my people, if there’s mud or dirt for me to roll around in I’ll find it. 😍

    Mary H.

  • Rescue Potcake dog from Turks and Caicos. Has anxiety and is fearful of strangers, exuberant children, and trash bins.
