— Christine S.
“Hi I'm Nyla! I'm very shy around new people because I have anxiety and I tend to get fearful if you approach too quickly! Once you get to know me, I'm a big time cuddler and I just want to spend as much time with you as possible! I love playing with my sister and wrestling on the living room carpet. When we have more room, we love to run and chase each other. Normally I chase her since I am always the leader between the two of us.“
— Anna A.
“Super friendly with people, loves to be pet and will try to jump on someone (to be pet.) Not so friendly with dogs/ other animals, 50/50 chance she’ll want to be friendly or attack them.“
— Sarah S.
“I’m a black and white girl husky… not sassy like the other huskies 😜 but will howl at you if I want to play outside, stare at people on the balcony for hours, or pee. I’m very friendly with humans and LOVE kissing new ones (but Mom has been trying to untrain me from that for the longest- since she adopted me a year ago). I hate cats and am okay with other dogs. I grew up with small doggies.“
— Mandy C.
“Hello! My name is Nyla im a 6 year old baby!! Im my families favourite (especially my mom) im veryyy judgey, but keep to myself. Very cool calm and collected😎 i’ll sometimes mingle with other creatures if i think you’re up to standard 💁🏻♀️i rule my house 😜“

“Hi! I am Nyla! I am the queen of Napping but also the queen of our home. Everyone wishes they can be like me and lay around and then beg for attention when they want it but they can’t. I enjoy SHORT walks and I love being groomed by my Dad. I am a little bit of a Daddy’s Girl. I enjoy barking at everything and sometimes even nothing. You never know what trouble me and my little brother might get into. I am getting a little old but I do still like to play!“
— Diamond M.
“I really really really love being outside! I love rolling in grass and snow, smelling all the smells and zooming around!“
— Kylie G.
“Nyla our beautiful huntaway is the oldest out of our two babies, she is a SPCA rescue that is 4 years of age. She has matured & learnt her everyday manners very well due to constant training for a number of years and carries this on super nicely to this day. When she was only young about 1 she was diagnosed with a condition called “ hip dysplasia “ in both hips but her left being her worse out of the two. We have her taking constant medication for this for the time being while she is young and some what sore until she is old enough and developed enough for potentially two hip replacements. So she very limited with her movement these days to avoid it getting any worst faster. She is the light to our house hold & such a welcoming soul to everyone and anyone.“
— Brittany H.
“Intense, driven, busy, happy, is usually game for anything, loves her people, wants everyone else to ignore her.“
— Nikki K.

— Vivian S.
“Nyla is my 6 year old rescue she’s a German Shepherd mix and she is such an amazing dog. She is very friendly with all dogs, people, children, and other animals.“
— Hannah C.
“I love everyone and everything and if I don’t then that is a red flag for my mama. I will bark/low growl until you pay me attention. I’m not a jumper or your typical ankle biter as they call us. I love to be held like a belly and receive belly rubs. If you are holding me and you talk be fully aware that I’m coming in for a “French” Kiss but I love to give kisses.“
— Karen S.
“I love to wrestle and do agility’s. I have a very good sniffer, find tennis balls every where I go. I have some anxiety so my mom tries to do solo adventures with me. I hate swing sets“
— Bryanna T.

Having grown up in busy Santa Barbara, Jen, an introvert from an early age, would seek out solitude and serenity away from tourists attractions and droves of people visiting from elsewhere. “My grandparents own 60 acres about a 30 minute drive from here, and I grew up spending every summer and every holiday visiting them on the ranch,” Jen explained. “In Santa Barbara, we wouldn't go to the beach on the weekend because that's where everybody was, so you'd find places off the beaten path where the tourists weren't. For me, the ranch was just my happy place.”
