  • He's a big, goofy boy! Man does he love people, hasn't met someone he doesn't like yet!

    Ali C.

  • Red is a Staffy x 4yr old and declared a dangerous dog. Red fears people and mostly dogs and behaves aggressively. Red needs new space to explore besides his own back yard. Loves to play and chase the ball & we would like a space where we can do training without the worry of another dog coming into his space. He’s a great dog and loves his family members but can’t get the exercise and the space to explore and take in new things.

    Tina H.

  • 5 year old rescue pitbull, loves the ball & to climb & run a mile! Very playful just fear reactive because he is a super sensitive boy 🥹

    Tyler M.

  • Very friendly! Rhodesian ridgeback lab mix. Loves playing with other dogs and making friends. Loves toys and water!

  • I'm from a troubled background. I was born in Tacoma to a backyard breeder who wanted to make big, aggressive guard dogs. My mom was a Belgian Malinois, and my dad was a big Alaskan Malamute. I got both their good looks. My dad size of 98 lbs and my mom smart protective guard dog instincts. I am always protecting my people when I go out. Anything that I see like a dog or person I treat mostly as a threat. That makes it very hard for me to go out walking in my neighborhood. It makes me sad when my mom and dad take my brothers and sister out, but not me. They give me a great treat, but then I still don't get to go. I'm super good at home and very mental with my siblings and my grandma. I want to be able to go out with everyone, but I can't help it. My brain just tells me to protect my people. Being on guard is just who I am.

    Julie M.

  • Hi I'm Red, I'm very interested in my surroundings but prefer not to be touched. My mom found me at the shelter but doesn't know what my life was like before that. New people and noises can still be scary even though I've become a lot more confident over the last 4 years. My favorite things to do when I'm not laying on my heated blanket are to roam freely through the woods and sniff everything!

    Shannon S.

  • Hi I’m Red! I was a foster but I was adopted! I am super sweet and love EVERYONE! I love to play and I love to run! I have so much energy!

    Alexis s.

  • Hi, my name is Red. I'm a retired ex-racer greyhound from Florida now living the good life with my Mom in Northern California. My hobbies include sleeping, grooming myself, sleeping, gazing longingly with the biggest, saddest eyes ever at humans while they eat and sleeping. I really, really like sleeping. My Mom says I'm lazy but she also says that is ok because I have earned my rest and because I'm cute. She says that a lot. The part about me being cute. A few things I really like: Peanut Butter Blueberries Anything anyone else is eating that I am not. Except bananas. Dinnertime. Breakfast time. Snack times. I know exactly when these times are and really appreciate when they occur in a timely manner My beds. I have 5. But sometimes I think I could use a few more My Mom 🙂 A few things I really don't like: Loud noises The wind. Truly terrifying stuff. It's loud (see above my comment about loud noises...) and stuff that is normally not moving is moving a LOT 😳 This is very bad. I hate the wind. Small dogs. Sorry, but you guys that bark like banshees and run up to me (please don't do this) and get all crazy when you see me are not appreciated. I value my personal space - boundaries! And again, see above about loud noises😶 When anyone else is eating but not sharing. I heard a very wise person (my Mom?) say once "sharing is caring". I feel like you don't care when you don't share. This makes me sad. And I've worked very hard to perfect my sad-eye face. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I will never give up though. The rain The cold Going out when it is either raining or cold. I do not like this one bit especially when I have to GET OUT OF BED to go OUT in the RAIN and the COLD. This is really very bad. I don't even care if I have not peed or poo-ed in 14-16 hours. This seems to really bother my Mom but not me! Nope. I will stay in my bed and sleep thank you very much. I also really like my squeeky toys, doing zoomies around the dining room table and licking the rice pan.

    Nicole M.

  • Red loves to walk and run and make new friends. He shares easy and plays a bit rough, but isn't at all aggressive. Loud noices and sudden movement, as well as heights, are trigger points for him.

    Glenna H.

  • Lab mix who loves to run and be chased! Not big on fetch but loves to play and meet people. Big goofball and total lovebug

    Megan A.

  • Red is a 6 year old stumpy tail cattle dog with a passion for play time! He was rescued from a kill shelter in back in ‘18. He has a strong dislike of strange men & young, small children. Since moving, most of Red’s exercise comes from long walks with dad or playing in the yard with mom on his 50 ft yard lead. Unfortunately the lead limits Red’s very fast zoomies around the yard. His dream is to have a big fenced-in yard one day. So until that day comes, we’re here to find the best spots for running out Red’s built up cattle dog energy!

    RAE B.

  • Red, or Reverend Red some call me (I was found caught in a retired Nuns fence), am the eldest. I am as mellow as the come. My ideal day is kayaking with my mom and sitting in the water.

    Rachel B.

  • Love Mom & Dad, dog besties, the beach, car rides, bully sticks, cheddar cheese, and salmon!

    Emma W.

  • My name is Red, I’m very excited about life. I love doing anything with my people. I’ve never met a scent that I didn’t like, or a wall I didn’t want to lick. My favorite thing to do is herd furniture & my people.

    Jenn C.
