Humane Society Naples serves thousands of animals in the community each year through our sheltering, fostering and adoptions programs as well as with medical care through the Humane Society Naples Veterinary Clinic and the Patty and Jay Baker Mobile Veterinary Clinic. We also help families with crisis boarding and behavioral training services as well as a community pet food pantry.

"I am a Volunteer at the Humane Society of Naples Florida, in the Feline area, but I watch the Canine animal care workers and the Canine volunteers and it amazes me. They are so well trained, so caring, so diligent. I have learned so much that I did not know. The time they spend with adopters before they let a dog go with them. The extra help and training services they offer are too numerous to even list. They always question what type of household, other pets, kids, time at home. Just everything is covered to know the adopters have the best fit for them. And there is a lot of follow up if needed. They want to be assured when that dog goes it is truly to it's forever home. They are wonderful."

"Words cannot express the depth of our gratitude to Humane Society Naples.** On December 1st, the only animal rescue and shelter on the island nation of Dominica was forced to close due to ongoing attacks on our animals and staff. Every single animal at our shelter was a rescue that had survived unimaginable abuse, injury, and suffering. For most, it was a miracle that they even survived their injuries and abuse.
Thanks to @hsnaples, a group of several shelters came together to evacuate our animals to safety, while ensuring no local animals were affected by the 150 animals rescued and divided between the various organizations.** This is a real-life example of an organization and its heroes coming together to save the most forgotten and helpless animals in the world.
You didn't just open your doors in our darkest hour; you showered our scared, displaced animals with love and care, mending not just broken bones but broken hearts.** Thank you for turning fear into purrs, whimpers into wags. You're making miracles happen, one furry friend at a time. **Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.**"

"After having lost our fur-kid of 16 years, we did not think we wanted to adopt again, so we decided to foster with Humane Society Naples. Admittedly, our first foster was a "hot mess" and we weren't sure we were up for trying it again, but after we returned from a vacation, we called the foster coordinator to say we were willing to foster, but needed some additional guidelines for what we could take. Megan suggested that we come into the shelter for a "meet & greet" with a couple foster options, we decided on one & brought him home. Within a week, we were smitten with him & made the choice to be "foster fails" and adopt him. He's been amazing with our grandkids, other dogs in the neighborhood and people in general. In fact, two different neighbors are clamoring to watch him when we vacation this year.
Since we are no longer fosters, I am still volunteering in the lobby at the Vox Arx location of Naples Humane Society."

Get your dog the safe enrichment they need by renting a Sniffspot

David Adams is a man of many passions, but his love for dogs stands above all. He is not only a dog lover, but also the founder of an innovative platform called Sniffspot. This unique platform connects dog owners with private property owners who are willing to rent out their space for off-leash playtime. While the idea of Sniffspot was initially conceived by his wife, Rebecca, David has been the driving force behind its remarkable success, tirelessly overseeing its growth and development.
David's dedication to providing safe and enjoyable spaces for dogs to play, explore, and socialize is evident in his unwavering commitment to Sniffspot. He strongly believes that dogs need ample space and opportunities to stretch their legs and have fun. As a result, he has worked tirelessly to build a network of private property owners across the country who share his vision and are willing to offer their space for the benefit of dogs and their owners.
Despite his busy schedule, David always finds time to indulge in his passion for the great outdoors. He loves nothing more than exploring new hiking trails and embarking on thrilling outdoor adventures. Whenever he is not working on Sniffspot, he can often be found hiking or visiting multi-acre fenced sniffspots with his two beloved dogs, Soba and Toshii. He is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys the fresh air, breathtaking scenery, and the sense of freedom that comes with being in nature.
