Soul Dog Rescue is absolutely a fantastic organization. Their main focus is to help the indigenous community in the four corners region with the massive pet overpopulation issues. They do free spay and neuter clinics, massive vaccination missions (facility-based and traveling), food assistance, trapping assistance and allow people who are overwhelmed by the animals they are taking care of to surrender them to go to a home in Colorado (post spay/neuter, vet checks, microchipping, and vaccinations). Additionally, Soul Dog Rescue partners with a high kill shelter in the four corners region to pull as many dogs to safety as possible. Soul Dog Rescue has its own facility in Fort Lupton Colorado as well as a large fostering program. We have hundreds of dogs and cats, who need homes, food, medical attention, and more so we would be lucky to be selected!Betsy W.
Soul Dog is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit animal rescue organization founded with the mission to spay/neuter and protect animals. Soul Dog is proactive in animal welfare, advancing the need for spaying and neutering our pets to reduce overpopulation. We travel to rural communities on Native American reservations, where spaying and neutering will only happen if it is nearly free or very convenient. Soul Dog works with volunteer veterinarians to provide the spaying and neutering service at no cost to the public. Donations are used to defray the costs associated with medications, supplies, and the operating cost for clinics.
Mission and Vision
Soul Dog Rescue performs collaborative, targeted work, primarily through spay/neuter, in underserved regions in order to create sustainable change and promote cultural shifts regarding the treatment of companion animals.

"Soul dog is an amazing rescue whose work goes far beyond saving dogs and adopting them out into loving homes. The core of their mission is on the Indian reservations where they work tirelessly to spay and neuter animals at little to no cost for the people who live out there in hope to help stop the overpopulation issue out their and provide the animals with necessary vaccines and treatments. Our soul dog is beyond loved and the process to adopt was thorough and well organized."

"After working with many rescues across Colorado, I can confidently say that Soul Dog has some of the most caring administration, staff, volunteers, fosters, etc. that you can find. Soul dog is 100% no kill and puts so many resources into to helping every dog they possibly can, even dogs who seem “hopeless” medically or behaviorally. It is amazing to see how Soul Dog takes dogs of reservations who have never even been in a home, and gets them into homes where they are loved and nurtured as they should be. I have seen both the rescuing and the adopting sides of this rescue and I would not be who I am today without that. My view on the rescues, the four corners reservations, and dogs in general is forever changed for the better. Not to mention I found my Sniffspot-loving pup through Soul Dog!"

"Soul dog rescue is full of people who do so much to help dogs and cats. Their mission is to spay/ neuter dogs and cats to help the over population in the four corners Indian reservations. Volunteering and seeing the horrible things the animals down there go through make me truly appreciate what soul god does. They save so many lives weekly and do their best to provide for these sweet animals."

"We adopted our heart dog/the dog that turned my husband into a dog lover from Soul Dog. They save dogs from Indian reservations, many of which are infected with parvo (our girl included). Because of Soul Dog’s care, our girl not only survived parvo, but also came crate and potty trained thanks to the efforts of fosters. In addition to rescuing, they provide much needed spay and neuter clinics. This is a hardworking rescue with a great mission. We’d absolutely get another dog from here!"

David Adams is a man of many passions, but his love for dogs stands above all. He is not only a dog lover, but also the founder of an innovative platform called Sniffspot. This unique platform connects dog owners with private property owners who are willing to rent out their space for off-leash playtime. While the idea of Sniffspot was initially conceived by his wife, Rebecca, David has been the driving force behind its remarkable success, tirelessly overseeing its growth and development.
David's dedication to providing safe and enjoyable spaces for dogs to play, explore, and socialize is evident in his unwavering commitment to Sniffspot. He strongly believes that dogs need ample space and opportunities to stretch their legs and have fun. As a result, he has worked tirelessly to build a network of private property owners across the country who share his vision and are willing to offer their space for the benefit of dogs and their owners.
Despite his busy schedule, David always finds time to indulge in his passion for the great outdoors. He loves nothing more than exploring new hiking trails and embarking on thrilling outdoor adventures. Whenever he is not working on Sniffspot, he can often be found hiking or visiting multi-acre fenced sniffspots with his two beloved dogs, Soba and Toshii. He is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys the fresh air, breathtaking scenery, and the sense of freedom that comes with being in nature.
David is based in Salem, MA.
