PALS park, is a space we have curated for our three dogs, Penelope (20 lb., (F) Boston Terrier), Arthur, and Lewis (55-70 lb., (M) Cattle Dog mixes and biological brothers). Arthur and Lewis “do not play well with others” (they're herding dogs and tend to herd other dogs). Penelope is smaller and getting older, so she gets bullied at dog parks. We needed an open space with fencing, a relatively quiet area, yet far enough away from residential areas because our dogs bark a bit more than average and we don't want to be a bother to our neighbors. We realized this is the need for many dogs and dog parents (like us), and those dogs are not always afforded the ability to go to a dog park and be off leash, and be in a stress-free environment. That’s why we offer our space, a place we have made exclusively to let our dogs and YOURS be the very best version of themselves. Dogs deserve to be dogs, and that’s our aim at PALS Park. **At the park we do our very best to offer a 5 star ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ experience. We are always looking for ways to improve the park, for you and your dogs. With constructive, positive, and a 5 star review, we will be better equipped to meet your needs. Also, leaving ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ would be pretty darn PAWSOME! **If there is something about your visit that isn’t worthy of a 5 star review, please message me and I can make it right. *We also have a (M) grey and white cat named Stumpy. He is indoors 75% of the time and makes himself VERY scarce when new people/cars are around. *There is ample parking and the driveway will be cleared of snow in the winter months. If there is a massive snowfall we will do our best to make a path. *There is a horse shelter in the park (we are slowly turning into the guest space). That’s where you will find several pooper scoopers with a bucket for poops without poop bags, a poop bag station, and a few mobile poop bag holders. There is a trash can for bagged poo and trash. We have set out some people chairs and an elevated dog bed. There is an always refreshed bucket of water at big pine tree by the shelter. And who can forget the toys? We have two deck boxes full of toys. A larger one near the house as well as a smaller one in the shelter. Toys can be put back in either one. **PROPER POOP DISPOSAL PROCEDURE** #2 can be: -pitched over the fence (bagless) -put into the trash can (if bagged) Karmic Poop Pick Up - we have a ton of space to play, so the odds of missing a poo now and then are high, we totally get it. See a poop? Pick it up (with a provided poop bag) and all day long you'll have good luck! We have a 700 gallon stock tank pool (not open November - April) just for the dogs. We will provide some towels for pool use and for general wet weather, because we know a wet dog in a car is not fun. There is a laundry basket by the flag pole where you can put the dirty towels. For human safety, please try to stay off the patio/porch near the home as it’s slippery when wet. Those areas will marked with a yellow plastic chain or closed off with black gates. If the dogs make it up there it isn’t a big deal, just be careful retrieving them.

We have our chickens and goats in a separate fenced area (see photos) that can be opened up to larger fenced area, the “spot.” The “spot” has a large pond for pet swimming in fenced area- pond does have an aerator to keep water moving, lotus flowers, frogs, fish, etc. The pond is surrounded by rock which transitions to a sand base a few feet into the water. The pond gets quite deep towards the middle. A sprinkler or hose (available for additional cost) can used for pet water play/bathing. Please remember to bring your pets towels and any necessary bathing essentials with you. Bonfire pit (potentially available- weather dependent- for additional cost). We have a large bonfire pit on the property built in rock. There are some larger rocks surrounding the bonfire pit and pond that can be used to sit and relax on. Wood is available on property for bonfires. Relax at the picnic table that overlooks the pond and bonfire pit. Or feel free to bring a foldable chair to find your perfect spot either under one of the many trees on the property or around the bonfire.

Take a dip in the creek! Beautiful secluded acreage with mature trees

Beautiful secluded property with a creek running through it. The backyard is about 1 acre with a big open field surrounded by large mature trees and a creek bordering the back side. Dogs must be trained not to run off as we do not have a fence. Old fence posts show the property lines. You can to take a dip in the creek with your dog to cool off on hot days. The water does flow so I wouldn't recommend it for really small dogs. The water is fairly shallow but can get high and flow fast after heavy rain. You will have to walk down a small hill to enter the creek. The weeds get high by the water but I have made 2 separate paths to enter the creek. Entering the creek is at your own risk. The creek is on the property line so the land across the creek is not part of the property so please do not go across the creek. If you do plan on going in the creek I recommend water shoes and a towel, it can get muddy by the water. And it can also get buggy, so you might want to bring bug spray as well. Feel free to move any of the chairs from the firepit to anywhere around the yard. Please clean up after your pup, garbage can is the green one by the garage. You can park on the left side of driveway by the RV and enter on the left side of the garage.

You can review the details of the listing to make sure it works as your desired activity space, for example, safe dog exercise, dog training, a stress-free adventure with your furry friend or even a puppy event. If inclement weather is an issue or poor field conditions, you can reschedule your visit up to 2 hours in advance.

What are the requirements to bring my dog to a Sniffspot dog field?

We require that all four-legged friends have basic vaccinations or equivalent titers. We do not allow dogs with a bite history. We require that guests sign our waiver and agree to follow our safety rules. Make sure to check host rules before visiting to ensure, for instance, that you are following allowable sports activities rules and any special events rules.

Will there be other dogs at the Sniffspot field at the same time as me?

No. Facility rentals are for private play time and any host dogs are required to be kept away from the area during visits, so this is perfect for a private adventure for you and your doggie friends, and perhaps a human friend. Hosts understand that many guests have dogs in training and are nervous owners. So when you book a Sniffspot dog field you have the entire private spot to yourself. We also enforce 30 min time buffers between time slots so you will not run into other guest dogs or a previous person when coming or leaving in the field parking area. Some hosts may have multiple fields, but there is always a buffer between fields.
