55Easy home to get to, well marked parking. We did the hike through public land and I believe that had us skip most of the actual sniffspot land but we enjoyed having a long, private hiking trail all to ourselves! We would definitely do this again! It took us a bit under 3 hours out and back. It’s very steep, so most of that is uphill and the way back was a breeze. Also lots of muddy areas that you can’t bypass so hiking boots are a must. The left entrance to the small path up the mountain, past the power lines, is very difficult to find so keep a lookout. For summertime- half the hike was not shaded.April M.

55GREAT hike! Beautiful trail system and the Sniffspot portion is very well maintained. The kids, our dog, and I had a really wonderful time and the views at the top really are amazing. The hike, for us, took a bit longer round trip…I’d recommend a 3 - 4 hour booking if you want to make it all the way up and also have a minute to relax and enjoy the view. We will be back. ;-)Heidi B.

55We really enjoyed this Sniffspot! Our dog had lots of fun running on the two trails through the forested part of the spot and chasing balls in the clearing under the power lines. We also did the hike up to the state land, which was a great way to extend our visit and get some exercise in. We encountered no people up there. I'd definitely recommend wearing hiking boots, even if you're just planning on using the Sniffspot area, while it's still relatively wet; the trail is very slippery right now! You might also want to bring hiking poles (or grab one of the sticks that the host or perhaps other visitors have helpfully left near the trail). One more thing: if you have a dog that might want to chase cars, keep your dog on leash for the first part of the walk, which is very close to the road. Overall, this was a wonderful Sniffspot, and we can't wait to go back!Sara E.

55Absolutely top tier spot! Like my favorite bits of the ACFL with guaranteed privacy. Came for an hour to explore and will definitely be back for more. Still a fair amount of mud this time of year, but nothing a good pair of boots for you and a towel for dog won’t handle. Bath time! 😊Nick R.

55Really beautiful spot. Dogs from the house did bark as we arrived. Couldn’t see them, just heard them. Just a heads up for reactive dogs. Otherwise, beautiful, quiet spot. The trails are nicely maintained and provide quite a good workout!Kirsten H.

55Great trail! Definitely a true hike, so wear hiking boots and consider sleeves/pants if you’re doing the hike. But lovely hike with incredible views. Dog got muddy, but washed off in the stream right before returning to the car. How convenient! Teresa B.

55Incredible spot!!! Would 100% book again. We did 2 hours and we used all 2 hours and could have probably stayed longer!! So much to explore and the dogs loved it. I would recommend boots in the winter but for summer sneakers worked fine. We had a blast! Kelsey R.

55Dogs loved exploring and hiking the 3 miles to the view then cooling down in the creek. Wear long pants to avoid scratches as the trail is narrow in some areas. Short sections of shade during the the hike so glad we went earlier in the day during summer. Kera K.

55This is the perfect sniffspot to introduce your dogs to hiking safely or if you just want to be on your own private trail. We have a great time playing in the river, jogging through the meadow, and then hiking up the wooded area to a pretty lookout. This sniffspot is worth the drive coming out from Seattle, just make sure to book 2+ hours so you can enjoy everything Andi N.

55This spot is a little bit of everything! A walk through the woods, across a creek, nice and shaded. Then a nice open, flat walk along the power lines, where you can enjoy the sun. We will definitely be back to do the hike to the lookout!Valerie F.

FAQ about our Concrete dog parks
Are dog parks good for dogs?
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.
Are dog parks safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog. 97% of reviews on Sniffspot visits in the Concrete area are 5 stars.
How do I know if a dog park works for my dog?
You can filter Sniffspot dog parks by fencing and distractions. If your dog doesn't have good recall, you can visit one of our 120 fully fenced dog parks in the area. If your dog is reactive to other dogs, you can visit one of our 14 off leash areas where there are no dogs audible or visible nearby. You can also filter locations to avoid other domestic animals and people. We also recommend reading reviews and reaching out to the host with any questions.
